I'm always worried when Milano has an injury. He's extremely injury prone.

Maybe Doug Whaley was right ? Comments like this get me, like it's a players fault that they get injured

It's a simple fact that some guys are more prone to injury than others. It's not their fault, per say, but it's a reality that you have to live in and deal with.

Yeah, I wasn't really commenting on Milano specifically there, just the "idea" of injury prone players, which certainly do exist.

Wrong! Defining what the players do before a game to prepare their muscles for exertion by extending their limbs in a reclining fashion is a stretch.

I don't think it's as much about Milano being injury prone as it is about the gigantic hole in the defense without him. In those 13 games he missed, it was extremely noticeable. This defense just isn't the same without him.

I just don't see how the Vikings can finish ahead of the Lions or Packers. If the Bears look the part too they will be looking at last place in the NFC North

they do have Deion Jones this season to backup at LB, but he is 29 and more limited in the run

Yeah. When Milano misses 1 game, it should be calculated in doggy years, so he's really missed 91 games. It feels like he's out much longer with the impact he makes.

.... I just don't want to admit I was wrong about him being injury prone. ....

Interesting indeed. He's about 14 months younger than Diggs and he was at least productive with the Titans with Tannehill.

From a points allowed, POV, they did not take a huge step back last season despite the Milano and Jones injuries and Miller being a shell of his former self.

The defense is obviously better with a healthy Matt Milano. But, it does not fall apart without him, either.
