This is true.. minor problem.I heard they need a goalie too, though.

Murray for Bennett?

Like that deal for the Panthers. The Blackhawks didn't do to bad either. Retaining for 5 years is a big chunk of money.
From the Treliving presser, it doesn't sound like they are interested in adding anyone big with term right now & doesn't sound like they have an apatite to add a "big name" as they think it doesn't always work out. Will probably be a 2nd teir C and a depth d-man for minor pieces.
He's not wrong from that sense. IMO I'm always fan of adding way before the deadline to give the player some time to adjust to everything. A lot of the time the deadline piece doesn't play the greatest.
Not exactly.Spencer knight is a big piece. That’s like us trading woll or knies.
They traded a young roster player with upside. The blackhawks are taking on 5 years of retention. They need something significant back . On the leafs that’s Knies or Woll.Not exactly.
Knight was their back-up, Leafs don't have a back-up.

The point was originally panthers showed you don’t need many assets to make a trade. I said they traded a young upside roster player that’s how they made it. That’s like leafs trading woll or Knies.Knies >>>> Knight
Knight’s value is no where near the value of Knies.
He’s a 22 year old power forward on pace for 30 goals. Every team is looking for this player.
Domi and Jarnkrok will be effective come playoffs for there cap hit of 5.850M we get quite a bit of value and fill two roster spots in the bottom6.This isn't really a TDL move. But we really have to get rid of Jarnkrok/Reaves/Domi/Kampf. 9.5m for a bunch of meh. could be your built in Knies extension plus two 4th liners in the offseason like a Frederic + Tanev
Domi has been fine in the playoffs lately but Jarnkrok is absolutely not a playoff player.Domi and Jarnkrok will be effective come playoffs for there cap hit of 5.850M we get quite a bit of value and fill two roster spots in the bottom6.
Both of these guys might not be crazy offensively(avg.40-80pts year) but they are players you want on youre team in a 7game playoff series....as for Reaves & Kampf yeah send them away for upgrades 100%
I just don't really see a fit for Jarnkrok. Are you benching Robertson or McMann over him? Unless you are putting him on the 4th line. Maybe he comes in and slots in on line 2 with Tavares and Nylander. Holmberg moves down the line up.Domi and Jarnkrok will be effective come playoffs for there cap hit of 5.850M we get quite a bit of value and fill two roster spots in the bottom6.

McMann-Tavares-Jarnkrok was very good last year in limited minutes and I'd like to see it recreated but then you're leaving Nylander on an island.I just don't really see a fit for Jarnkrok. I could see Florida adding a center, and a goalie with Tkachuk's cap, but if we make these types of moves on paper we are just as good if not better than the Panthers....i would argue we are better and have more depth in a 7-game series
As of right now we are not in a good position at all.....who's going to cover Tkachuk & Bennett? We need to add players like Tolvanen & Schenn guys that are physical and can still produce offensively. If we compare our current roster oouf its bad, not to mention if we play them it will be in round 2 so adding players so we have depth is huge!
I strongly believe if we make the right trades this roster can win the cup, but we dont have a year to waste....big decisions come in the offseason, we need to go all in! Ship those picks and low prospects out.
Kampf = Tkachuk
Dewar = Bennett
Jones = Timmins
Kulikov = Benoit
As for people saying we need goals haha, that's false we need physical players with skill too cover there best players so our top players can get the right matchups and focus on offense! Its why Gretzky was so successful....if we have Marner, Nylander, Tavares, Matthews having to cover guys like Tkachuk, Bennett yeah say bye to there offensive game...this is what makes teams like Florida successful
Lol are you good brother?what the hell is this post... You took player and allowed the random position ?!?!?!.. hopefully didn't saw something like Bobrovsky as C, Tkachuk as RD and Forsling as G...
I'd imagine they will just run Bob + some other vet or their AHL goalie.. Doesn't really matter come playoff time.Panthers have another deal lined up for a goalie or are they going with one of their minor leaguers?
