Robertson I would like to see to Anaheim to somehow pry out Lundestrom. They have lots of C and need scoring on the wings. He would hold more value then Rob so not sure what you need to add to sweeten the pot.I think Robertson would likely be someone of higher interest for them. He would be a great fit in their system of speed and skill. He's also dirt cheap for when they get their injured players back.
I'm not sure what kind of return to expect from the Avalanche though. They don't have a lot of available assets or picks.

Shhh. I just willed the Lily trade into existence hoping to go 2 for 2.I don't see them having any interest in doing that anytime soon as a rebuilding team. They could and should have interest in SoCal product Robertson though.
I suspect the Leafs will have plenty of interest in Vatrano. But it depends if and when the Ducks turn into sellers this season.
Evans sounds like a smart target, but would he cost both assets?Doubt this happens but I would love to package Robertson and a 2nd for Evans.
Knies - Matthews - Domi
Pacioretty - Tavares - Nylander
McMann - Evans - Marner
Lorentz - Kampf - Jarnkrok
Why would we have to give up more than Robertson for Evans?Evans sounds like a smart target, but would he cost both assets?
I like the idea of a RH C for sure.
Timmins for McBain?Big centre... may have some offensive upside.... local kid... theoretical "ideal" 3rd or 4th line centre, if not, another Bobby McMann type on the wings.
That being said, with Liljegren gone, there really isn't a path to get a guy like that...
Utah’s hurting on D, they want to make ghe playoffs in their inaugural year, that’s why……Let me rephrase -- why does Utah want to trade him if he's that good.
This is the classic "I want their player. I don't care about what they want"
Timmins for McBain?

Yup. Suspect Robertson is gone soon. If he's getting scratched in back to back games for Reaves and Holmberg, with Jarnkrok and Dewar back soon, he won't be back in the line-up.
Berube said that he scratched him vs. Jets cause they are a big team. So I think that says about how much he thinks of him.
Wish he would get more of a shot, but doesn't seem likely.
Colorado does seem like a perfect fit. I wonder what his value would be? 2nd round pick?
Calling Lilly and Timmins 2 of our top 4 defenders isn’t even close to factual, they’re both fringe NHLer’s…….You don't think our D will be hurting if we lose 2 of our top 4 defenders? It's not like we have the most stable and durable defenders on this team either. And Timmins isn't going to make a big difference between making the playoffs or not. They have 14M of cap space. They could just trade a bunch of picks and prospects for another defenseman or 2 (like they did with Maatta) and keep McBain.
I think a 2nd round pick would be the bare minimum for the Leafs. It would be some ammo going into the trade deadline.
Liljegren traded. Wow. Not a bad haul too

It's not a great return for his potential, but I doubt that we would get more. (I hope I'm wrong). Not sure why he would have a lot of value around the league, particularly as we are likely just going to sit him for a while. You don't think our D will be hurting if we lose 2 of our top 4 defenders? To activate two of the long term IR players, the obvious move is to waive Myers and Benning.
Timmins seems to have won the role of the #7 defenseman when Hakanpaa returns in the eyes of Craig Berube. Playing in 8 of the first 10 games.
Benning is coming off hip surgery and has played a reduced role on a poor Sharks team in his recovery. He has an extra year on his contract, with his recent injuries he is a risky claim for another team. He will likely clear and fit well as a reclamation project.
Myers is good value on an expiring league minimum contract, he could be claimed. Likely doesn't have trade value.
To activate the last player off LTIR in the event the Leafs ever reach complete full health. The cap isn't an issue anymore, just roster spots. I think the obvious move is trade Nick Robertson. He has already asked for a trade. He's a project and like Liljegren would fit better on a young team where he can be put in a better position to succeed. If the Leafs could score a couple more picks to add into their cupboard they would be in better shape going into the deadline and draft with more ammo.
And there both better players then Benoit so we need to fix that third pairCalling Lilly and Timmins 2 of our top 4 defenders isn’t even close to factual, they’re both fringe NHLer’s…….
Neither play the left side so your point is?And there both better players then Benoit so we need to fix that third pair
Was Benoit a benefactor of McCabe's good play, just like Holl as with Muzzin before him?

If we move on from Robertson and Holmberg... here is the list of skaters on the Leafs we've drafted.
Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly.
That's an epic failure.
