Woll has been a .906 goalie the last 2 seasons, no ones making judgements off a small stretch. I have been preaching on here that he is a middle tier goalie since the off-season. Not a bad goalie, just not a great goalie.

This also isn't a career year for Stolarz (yet).

A deal with conditional based on games played in the playoffs would make sense.

Depends on how late, but if someone wanted to overpay you back away.

I’d trade Rielly for pretty much anything right now. It won’t happen though because he won’t waive.

But 7.5M for someone who is playing at about half that level is a huge cap burden. Sucks because that 7.5M could’ve been a steal, but he fell off hard this season. Maybe bounce back? Or he just doesn’t care anymore and lost the passion - feels like the latter.

He is a new Dad so is dealing with family, and everyone goes through down periods in which they don't perform their best.

We need to have a serious conversation of moving Morgan for a hockey trade or for futures. I really like Morgan and believed he should have been the captain over JT but it's clear this style of play is not him and he looks like a scrub out there.

Stolarz: 50 GP, 50.6 GSAx, 925 sv%

The splits this year are even more drastic.

Saved above expected - proof that advanced stats are idiotic. 'Expected' is meaningless, actual saves matter.

McMann can be the answer depending on what is added to the bottom 6. He never looked out of place on that 2nd line.

Getting a 3C, pretty much addresses the 2LW hole with either McMann or Domi, one of the two.. I'd imagine McMann would slot onto the 2LW and then 3rd line would become Domi - X - Robertson.

That's why I included sv% where Stolarz is in a different class than Woll.

Average is .901 this year, .903 last.

Woll is 21st among goalies with min 20 GP in sv%, that is middle tier.

Stolarz is currently rocking a .842 career playoff save%

Now obviously its a small sample size and Im making the comparison in jest, mostly due to your inability to look beyond raw stats. However, the point stands, neither is proven beyond the role of a quality backup or have a sufficient playoff resume to feel more confident with one over the other. For sake of planning for the playoffs, yes they are interchangeable.

The Leafs are trying to balance out their top 9 by putting Holmberg there. McMann and Robertson would easily be our best players there. Pacioretty showed real promise but his health is awful. He's dealing with back spasms right now.

2LW is not an issue at all. When your 3rd best centers are Domi and Kampf, it's quite easily the biggest problem this team has.
