How does he lose by keeping all his assets? The team the way it is built now could go on a long run. They finally have the goaltending. Imagine Stolarz in the crease against the bruins last year? Toronto wins that series easilyThis is the biggest no win situation for Treliving/Shanny.
If Tre uses a 1st for Laughton, he loses. If he keeps all his assets, he loses. If Toronto doesn't go deep in the playoffs (Laughton or not), he loses. Same thing goes for Shanny too.
