And why are some people saying LF now? Just call up Pompey!

Another BP arm would be nice but not sure its really needed.

Though there might be more coming

Well good news is they must have money to pay for a top starter in the off season so even if price walks, they will be throwing money at someone.

Orioles hangout after an Orioles loss.

here is a recent gem from there

At this point, making the playoffs is secondary to me. I just want to finish ahead of the Blue Jays and keep them out of the playoffs. Price will walk this offseason and Tulo may spontaneously combust playing on that turf. Meanwhile, they don't have anyone left to field minor league teams.

In what world did the radio crew think bringing Zaun on to talk prospects/front office stuff was a good idea? Zaun being Zaun and sounding like a moron.

something the downers are forgetting is that if the jays collapse and this team cant win with this group, SELLING is an option and that's one way to refill the cupboard with young talent / prospects to rebuild

the odds of giving up, letting everyone expire, and rebuilding from scratch is slim because it should never get to that point

LF isn't an issue, even with Pompey in AAA. Bullpen isn't an issue either, they have a league average bullpen, and they suddenly wont be working nearly as much without that scrub Doubront who can't even go 5 innings. They have inning eaters in Price, Buehrle and Dickey.

At this point Valencia should be starting LF instead of Colabello or Carrera as long as Bautista is healthy enough to play RF.

Their biggest need is still SP.

Don't need one. Hawkins, Tepera, and Schultz all have very good #s vs lefties. And are solid vs righties too. Better to have pen flexibility.

Glad you had those numbers handy. Wanted to search it up but I'm multi-tasking as is. Either way one more reliever wouldn't hurt.

we really need to get a closer. we're all in, might as well take it another step further. even if we don't get a big name like kimbrel, i really hope AA gets us a closer.

Bullpen should be better with Sanchez down there and Hawkins now.

Sometime you just gotta roll the dice:

1992 - Blue Jays acquire David Cone for Jeff Kent and player to be named later. Kent went on to have a stellar career, and Cone left after the season, but...the Jays won a World Series.

1993 - Blue Jays acquire Rickey Henderson for Steve Karsay and others, none of whom distinguished themselves in the years to come. Rickey also left after the season but...the Jays won a World Series.

If any of the guys that have been let go turn out to be as good as Jeff Kent (and that's a BIG if) but the Jays win a series in the next 2 to 3 years, it's still a win.

GO JAYS GO!!!:yo:
