So how much more awesome does that Tulo deal look now that we've also addressed our pitching too?

I can't imagine there are too many players out there that would not want to come to Toronto at this point.

Haha, it's just ignorant amounts of talent. What a cool time to be a fan, I haven't been this excited in a while. Donaldson and Martin were super exciting, but you knew there were still some holes to be filled. We haven't had a legit Ace since Doc left, and with us not quite finished yet, I don't even know what else where we can go!

They need a closer and a proper LF. Although they have Pompey who can play LF, they need to figure out that closing role. If they do that, they'll win a WC spot and might do it anyway.

****, I'm geared up.

I think Tulo's debut last night got everyone so pumped up .. This just puts everything over the top and optimism at all time high.

What a deal. We didnt include even Alford and really any top position prospects.

Also AA isnt a big fan of going after rentals, you have to think AA thinks he can resign Price

Jays are going for it but the cost isnt huge if you ask me

We got TT and Price and still have Stroman, Sanchez, Travis, Alford among others

And people think AA is a bad GM. Lol

Wilner is such a clown. He has no sense of humour. Knows everything. Is rude. I could go on.

These guys trying to lighten Wilner up on TV. He's not playing.

Barker's question was absolutely dumb. He deserved Wilner taking him to task for it. Wilner just doesn't put up with stupidity. It's refreshing when talk radio is usually dominated by morons sure that their drunken, idiotic ideas are brilliant.

The one offputting difference is that Price can easily flee in 4-5 months. It's one thing to give up big pieces for something that will have long (or long-ish) term relevance to the team. It's what made it acceptable to give up Hoffman and Castro for Tulowitzki. Because Tulo gives the Jays probably at least 3 good years. It's tougher to stomach losing Norris and years of his impact for 10-15 starts out of Price and then he bails.

not saying I hate the trade. Getting Price is amazing. But I look at people who will say that going all in now and then accepting a longer rebuild in the future is easy now, but let's see how many people will accept "this is the cost of acquiring Price in 2015" as a reason if the Jays suck in the future or are back to having no pitching depth and are a .500 team like everyone was complaining about them being last week.

this only goes that way if the team completely collapses, price leaves, and norris turns into an amazing big league pitcher a la Syndergaard

They could conceivably go after both pieces, I guess. Why stop now?

I don't think AA would go for Price if there wasn't a solid chance at bringing him back past this season. At least that's how I look at it

Price leaving seems like a reasonable possibility, and people are ****ing about the Marlins deal even though none of those pieces have really turned out to be regrettable for the Jays.
