T.O.
It seems the Parayko rumors don't have any substance based on what I heard on the radio on the drive home from work. His agent hasn't even been approached yet regarding a no trade clause waiver. Things can change of course, but it seems unlikely at this point.

If we make another move, I think it will likely be a lower cost acquisition for a RHD like Matt Dumba. Without giving up a 1st or any of our top prospects (which I am ok with at this stage), we can't expect to go big game hunting, nor should we.

Vegas is in a wild card spot. They likely won't slide out and that's a good add but I hope for them it works out.

Sabres trying to build right from backend out. Having Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson and now Byram. That’s a great group of young dmen.
It's a weird trade. Byram goes from 3LD on the Avs to 3LD on the Sabres. I'm not exactly convinced Middlestadt will solve Colorado's 2C issue they've had since Kadri left.

I feel like Byram still could've fetched the Avs more of a sure thing at centre.

Being unrealistic…
Parayko for Brodie + Timmins in a 3way where Brodie is flipped at 50%

Guentzel 50% for 1st + Kampf + something

Guentzel - Matthews - Marner
Bertuzzi - Domi - Nylander
Knies - Tavares - Jarnkrok
McMann - Holmberg - Robertson
Gregor - Reaves

Rielly - Parayko
McCabe - Liljegren
Benoit - Lybushkin
Gio or Lagesson

6k in cap space with 23 man roster

All those years of us adding fringe pending UFAs at the deadline. Could you imagine us if we'd actually have added 2 bona-fide good players with term or an extension in place?

I'm getting real tired of everyone wanting to only play for the Panthers, Lightning or Knights
The salary cap has made the better weather destinations the place to play in unfortunately.

I wish the NHL would add a luxury tax to a certain point that way big markets that generate more money get some kind of benefit.
