I know there are concerns about change-room attitude. But on paper I would like to get Domi. He adds scoring and can beat the crap out of people. He's an enforcer who can actually play.

Maybe Jake McCabe and Sam Lafferty can provide some real sense on how it's like having Domi on the team.

That said, 18 goals 49 pts in 60 games. Not bad.

His points production is good but the issue is can he control his hot-head attitude and commit to playing defense?

Can he do both? If yes, then I'm onboard.

Hoping for a blockbuster dubbie. But I will settle for Domi or Henrique half retained.
Henrique is injured for a while. I wanted him, but don’t think it’s an option anymore.

So if Dubas would have traded for LTIR contracts that weren’t going to be playing in the playoffs, would he have gained cap space to go after other trade targets?
The opposite is true ..

If Dubas traded away Murray on LTIR then he would create guaranteed free cap space to bring in a replacement.

LTIR is accrued based on time a player misses, so a new LTIR contract doesn't increase cap space

Leafs could trade Murray (LTIR) + Kerfoot + 1st to Arizona for Lawson Crouse and goalie Karel Vejmelka.

It is a joke.

I really don’t recall a professional team in the top league of the World in any sports ended up renting a College Arena to play their games bc they either couldn’t make rent or whatever.

Then you have 56% of cap value that is not even real money bc the team can’t afford it.

If I run my business and I can’t break even by over 50%, I will close my business and not drag on. That’s why I don’t understand why other owners are all okay with Arizona.
The owners aren’t going to object to the Arizona situation, because they all may want to do that someday. The players may have mixed feelings about it. While it probably cuts a few jobs, it does slightly reduce the escrow players need to pay.

Over the years, many NFL teams have played in college stadiums. Also, when the Chargers first moved back to LA, they played in a soccer stadium that only sat 30K.

The Coyotes were booted from the arena in Glendale because they refused to sign a long-term lease there instead wanting to build their
own arena in Tempe. Tempe city council has unanimously apptoved the plan for the arena and the development around it. It goes to a public referendum in May. If the referendum fails, I’m not sure they’ll have any choice but to move.

A few years ago I would have been ecstatic for a Hutchinson for Quick trade!

I think I would pull the trigger if Arizona said yea

No Zona GM in their right mind makes that trade.

Murray is coming off LTIR tomorrow (or Saturday).

Not necessarily. If Murray is traded, the Leafs don’t gain cap space, just remove the burden of clearing space to fit him.

Think Kampf is the one that sits in that scenario, rather Lafferty and Acciari on the 4th line come playoffs

Could rotate them out. Kampf has played very well recently.

But I doubt we make 2 big moves like that. Would be insane though.

I hate the Oilers especially after last night but that's a decent trade for them ... probably didn't give up much to get him.

The ekholm get is huge too.

TSN's top 29 trade bait players left...

Sportsnet's trade day analysis team.... a team, who will likely have not much to do, and more panelists than trades.

CJ confirms Leafs had interest in Bertuzzi and even Eyssimont before he got traded.
Also says goalie isn't a priority for the Leafs.
Says a D could be moved. Hard to keep everyone happy and mentions Holl and Gustavsson as to who could go. Says Gustavsson might just be in this Sandin trade for contractual reasons and maybe not a fit.
