Well, I'm not exactly sure where this is going to go...but it sounds like TB has made a pitch for Tanner Jeannot

The Rangers "rebuild" of 2018 was an abject failure in and of itself. Kravtsov, Andersson, Kaako, Lafreniere were all very poorly performing high picks that didn't really contribute to the Rangers success. Their good pieces came from crafty trades where they got Fox, ripped off Ottawa for Zibanejad and signed UFA Panarin and Trouba. Shesterkin was a homegrown pick but was drafted a very long time ago in 2014 during their previous contending window.
I don't disagree with this statement. Fact still remains, they won a couple of rounds and we haven't. We played inferior teams (Columbus and Habs) but didn't win.

I would love a left wing so we can move RoR down and be deep.

If knies works out him on the third with him would be cool
Knies probably will be on the team next season

Really hard to imagine him stepping in and playing meaningful hockey down the stretch. Great prospect but I feel like there are some unrealistic expectations around for him

It is not like there would high expectations for him.

He would need to come in and do better than any Marlie and ZAR.

If he can't do that, then is he really going to be ready for the NHL next year?

Even if the 2023 1st is Bedard, it is still not a good trade

If Chychrun's cost is Sandin, 1st. and prospect.

Sandin and Matthews

Claytong worth at minimum 1st. and prospect.
Crouse worth at minimum 1st. and prospect.
Chychrun 1st., 1st., prospect

So getting equivalent of at least 4 rounders and 3 prospects.

And the picks are guaranteed, and cost controlled.

Of course I'm not one who is willing to offer Sandin and 2024 1st. rounder and prospect. Others seem quite willing.

Except there would be based on the way a lot of people view him right now.

Keep in mind he will have already played a full season of college hockey.

it’s not easy to step into a top team and play even more minutes of hockey than you’re used to in the best league in the world. That doesn’t mean he won’t be ready for the NHL next year, just that he will be expected to come into a system he isn’t used to, and make a difference compared to established NHL players who are familiar with pro hockey. It’s a tall task.

The Leafs can't acquire everyones that available... we know this right? People complaining just to complain right now.

This is incredibly dismissive and out of touch. This guy fits our need for top-6 PWF LW to a glove, and you somehow thing those that are unhappy he's going to a direct rival we're likely to play in the first round is 'just complaining'? get a grip.

Link to the confirmed trade?

Guy is a young PWF on a dirt cheap deal. Likely retainable going into next year as well. If he goes for cheap, there’s no reason why we couldn’t have acquired him.

5’10” afraid of contact Alex Kerfoot is making 3.5m on our fourth line.
