Man I hope WSH goo full seller

Anyone of Brouwer / Ribiero / Laich / possibly even Wolski would be good on this team

Wolski, he's like Viktor Kozlov. Odd enough another guy who played in Washington after he left us. Shootout specialist, but just an average bottom 6 guy in game.

Brouwer and Laich are on the books for way too long. Brooks Laich, I always liked him. Actually I always liked a lot of their players.

Ribiero is an upcoming UFA. He'd be the best bet.

What do they want? Let's forget about the T word right now. Someone will get mad if I type his name again.

Draft pick? Second rounder? Second rounder and roster player? That's what they gave us for Arnott.

I asked Elias what was going on between him and fellow Czech Vinnie Prospal when they were yelling at each other during the second period. Elias was on the bench and Prospal was on the ice.

“I don’t know,” Elias said. “He’s a whiner. I’ll get him some cheese next time with that whine.”

And there it is

Eh if only Patty didn't hate him haha he would be a good rental, cap hits good

What about Alex Tanguay?

Tanguay-Zajac-Kovalchuk
Elias-Henrique-Clarkson
Poni-Loki-Zubrus
Carter-Gionta-Bernier

Not sure what to do with Butler, Josefson, etc.

Played a lot at center in the past two or three years (with Iginla). If Lou`s talking with Feaster, my guess is Stempniak. I wouldn`t mind him.

We'll have a better idea of who's going to sell and who'll buy, in the next 2 weeks. Until then, Lou will try and mix it up internaly, meaning his only move will be either to send Matteau to the "Q" while switching him with Josefson.

A player I'd love to add in our top #6 would be Chris Stewart but I don't see the Blues moving him anytime soon, unfortunatly for us. I just think we need a big body that isn't scared to crash the net, who has some hands, to play on Kovy's opposite wing.

Okposo might be another option if for whatever reason, the Isles would be looking to move him.

With the shortened season, I expect every team to believe they are in the hunt for as long as possible. There won't be many deals until the day of the deadline, IMO.

33% of the season done, and no team is more than 3 games out of the playoffs.

Is there anyone else who'd rather trade Volchenkov than Tallinder? (assuming someone actually wants them)

Our PK continues it's playoff suckage which is supposed to be Volch's specialty, and outside of the PK and a big hit now and then Volch doesn't bring much to the table. He can't handle speed and gets coned easily, handles the puck like a live grenade, and isn't even doing a good job of clearing the crease with physicality.

Tallinder at least has the excuse of massive rink rust - he's barely played since the blood clot. I'm more optimistic on Tallinder improving his current play than Volch.

Also I'd like to give Harrold a shot. With Volch and Tally struggling, I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a chance. Although i think a non-rusty and healthy Tally has more upside, Harrold is fairly steady IMO.

Ryan O'Reilly - Colorado

Strange: The Avalanche haven't told GMs what the price is for Ryan O'Reilly. They're saying: Make an offer. Most GMs are puzzled by this.

I would move Gelinas, Tedenby, and a 2nd in a heartbeat for Ryan. He has the potential of a Top Line Center. Put up a ton of assists at age 21 last year. He refuses to sign with the Avalanche.

id do that package.

Theres a huge turn off with ROR though. Not only do you have to pay colorado for his rights, you also have to negotiate a deal. Its an awful lot to do for a player before he even plays a game for you. Plus hes going to have this "trade me" label. How long before he requests to be traded again? Hes clearly not shy about it.

Colorado just doesnt seem to care what ROR does. Coincidentally, i think its a great attitude to have in these situations. You dont want to play for us? Fine. You dont play for anyone then unless we get handsomly compensated.

I agree. But if there's a player that you compensate Colorado handsomely for it's Ryan. He's worth the headache.

Poni- Ryan - Kovy
Elias - Zajac - Clarky

Makes us really deep.

Lou wouldn't be the one to chase after a guy who is holding out even if he is being kinda given a bad offer. I don't know the situation that well though.
