I don't want Whitney at all, was just musing to the fact of his name being thrown around.

Realistically you ask?

I'd like Pyatt/Boyle + Eminger + pick for Kevin Klein + pick - but that would inevitably not happen.

I'd also like a Boyle + pick for Jay McClement + pick if possible plz.

Those are my realistic (probably not) wants. My apologies - didn't take this as a serious thread :sarcasm:
 
Any player that has had more bad seasons then good will be horrible on the Rangers... actually any player that has issues will fall under this category as well.

i doubt someone will offer a top prospect for someone who has a bad history with doing stupid things on the ice at times.. but when he doesnt he is a useful player...... :help:
 
Torres is a good fit and he's going to likely cost picks. This is where Maloney and Sather being buds helps. They seem to come up with combos that worse

I could also see the Yotes interested in Boyle

A top prospect, probably not. Something useful that helps their franchise, yes. I don't see your proposal as one that helps their franchise. In that case, they're better off letting him walk and getting his salary off the books.

Tell us what you think your offer does for Phoenix...

teams still see value in Boyle, who the heck knows which team likes a player but the Yotes are think up the middle so a Boyle for Torres makes some sense. Rangers shed the salary for next yr and the Yotes can fit it in

Gordon is an UFA also so they do need a replacement for the 4th line.. i can see this type of dealing happening. i bet Sather does a small deal like this then Dan Boyle/ Clowe rumored deal

id rather have Bickel back up on the team. dives too much for my liking..
 
Been think its Clowe all along but if the asking price is accurate you have to pass on that deal.

The idea of Torres I like. Mentioned awile back on the thread.


Over the past 2 weeks all the talk was Rangers are going to be very active at the deadline.

Today Strang and Cerny both reiterate the same thing. No significant moves/likely to stand Pat. Have to think that whatever they worked on or wanted is just NOT at the price they are willing to pay. Or...Maybe they aren't going to show thier chips till the last minute?

And the Rangers weren't on Lindros' list either...that said, Iggy doesn't fit and will cost too much..Rangers need to add depth and hope their big guns star hitting the mark but I have little hope they actually get anything done...hasn't been Sather's style...Zuc brings nothing to this team.

Laughable. Ribiero is a solid second line center. I'd certainly take him if he came cheap. He's better than Richards this season by a mile and would help our center depth a ton.
