Gives Phoenix a replacement for both forwards and defense on the cheap for next year, while replacing their NHL roles and offers the Rangers a tougher line up and another righty shot that can win draws and kill penalties, play up the lineup if he has to. Morris may not be that offensive top four defenseman, but he is better able to handle physical forwards on the right side than Stralman, Eminger, or Gilroy, help on the PK and take pressure off of Girardi. Phoenix saves on cap by having cheaper replacements that replenishes NHL roster for next year than they would be able to afford via free agency, and also collects future assets as the premium.
