Dogs don't go on twitter. If you see a dog with a twitter account, it's a person pretending to be a dog.

Dude, ive got a Pug right here, he tweets full time. Opposable claws FTW

if they did they are answering Pittsbrughs pickups of Morrow and Murray with Daugavins and Whitney

Well the heavyweights are all in

on the trade board the Yotes have rumored names. Gordon and Torres for Pyatt and picks please. Sather and Maloney are buds

Yotes didnt resign Pyatt. why would they trade for him?? he isnt the reason they arent doing well this year.. :help: so lets send Richards to Stars for Jagr and Dillon if the Rangers are sending players back to their old teams. Boyle to Kings for Clifford and Fraser please :yo:

The difference is that Ott actually provides a useful skillset. Torres runs around and hits people while he's not busy being suspended for other hits.

From what i've heard, Torres has turned his game around this season and been very useful, while toning it down in the borderline illegal hits.

Why is it, that every time a player is proposed to be coming to the Rangers, its the best version possible?

We should try that on our end.

"I am offering former 22 goal scorer Brian Boyle, who is just waiting to break out again in a different situation"

If Buffalo is going full on fire sale, I'd kick the tires on Drew Stafford. Then again, if he became a Ranger, I believe he'd be the scapegoat du jour.

Torres and Gordon for Pyatt and our lowest third would be a great trade. It would add a scoring touch to the bottom six, would make it younger too

I'm not saying I'm interested in him. I'm saying that Coyotes fans have said he's been very good this year, one of there better players and that he has toned down the BS antics.

That's this season they're talking about. How is that in any way, shape or form relative to boyle scoring 22 goals years ago?

not at that contract

Stafford is also a RW'er. Won't have room to play him after we acquire Jagr, Iginla and Michelle Bachmann.

Raffi Torres can play hockey. Of course he is one questionable hit from being suspended for life.

What's this Hagelin to Chicago crap? Where did it come from? It's obviously fake, but I'm just curious who reported and what exactly they reported.

hahaha i saw it on hockeybuzz, with some "JJ" hawks blogger on there.. its funny they said some role player+.. thought it was funny as well.. cant argue that hags wouldnt fit any team well but thats a huge stretch he'll be traded.. RFA with no negotiating power.. thats Slat's wheel house..

i dont think major trades will happen... i think we'll tweak.. hopefully we could trade pyatt for Torres, our annual Phx-NYR trade.. he would fit this team like a glove and bring in what we lost and lack from last year..

Whoops, thought he made 3 million instead of 4 for some reason. No thanks. Still, I'd take him at 4 million over Jokinen at 3

i wouldnt. offsetting one million is one thing. offsetting 2 is another.

don't think the rangers will make a play for either though.

The plan is starting to make sense. If we acquire every right wing in the league, the left side of the ice will be wide open regardless of what team we're playing, and Gaborik will be able to score at will from the left side.

All the pieces are falling into place. Sather is a genius!

Me neither, I was only talking from a skill standpoint.

But yeah, Raffi Torres please

What would you guys think of Steve Sullivan as a rental? Always liked him

Roy would be a really nice piece to add

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Kreider-Richards-Gaborik
MZA/Miller-Roy-Callahan

really not sure what it would take to get him

Yeah and Phoenix has a history of reacquiring players. I would love to do a package

Stralman, Pyatt, Powe + Yogan +2nd +3rd.

For

Gordon, Torres, Morris.

Gives Phoenix a replacement for both forwards and defense on the cheap for next year, while replacing their NHL roles and offers the Rangers a tougher line up and another righty shot that can win draws and kill penalties, play up the lineup if he has to. Morris may not be that offensive top four defenseman, but he is better able to handle physical forwards on the right side than Stralman, Eminger, or Gilroy, help on the PK and take pressure off of Girardi. Phoenix saves on cap by having cheaper replacements that replenishes NHL roster for next year than they would be able to afford via free agency, and also collects future assets as the premium, Rangers lose the soft spots in their lineup in favor of some grittier players.

Stralman is a long-term piece here. I won't trade him

Derek Roy would be just an awesome pick up. I'd love to see him with Gabby and MZA or Kreider. Would make a pretty sweet line.

Seriously, if we can get him for something like Boyle + Pyatt + 3rd it would be totally worth it.

Send Miller down for the season.

Hagelin Stepan Nash
Kreider Richards Callahan
MZA Roy Gaborik
Powe Newbury Asham

Boyle/Pyatt + Eminger + picks for Whitney + pick isn't a horrible option

I wish we could wing a Boyle/Pyatt + Stralmaan + 3rd/4th for Peckham + pick - but it looks like Whitney is the only one to go out of Edmonton

For real?

Stralman is better than both Peckham and Whitney. Hell, Eminger has been better than Whitney this season. He's been a healthy scratch on the Oilers. His injuries have just caught up the him. He doesn't add anything to this defense. He's not a crease-clearer, he's not a shooter.

The more I think about it, the more I love the idea of Raffi Torres. He's been a very strong even strength producer, and brings all the cliches that Tortorella loves.

Here's how his ESP/60 compares to Rangers over the last 5 seasons:

2012-13
RICK NASH 2.77
RAFFI TORRES 2.12

RAFFI TORRES 1.81
ARTEM ANISIMOV 1.72
DEREK STEPAN 1.69
RYAN CALLAHAN 1.64

SEAN AVERY 1.68
RAFFI TORRES 1.62
ALEXANDER FROLOV 1.63

His top linemates over those seasons:
2012-13: Matthew Lombardi (34.4%), Kyle Chipchura (33.8%)
2011-12: Daymond Langkow (40.3%), Kyle Chipchura (27.5%)
2010-11: Manny Malhotra (74.9%), Jannik Hanson (58.7%)

I'm impressed.
