Its amazing how no one in the media seems to care that he hasnt signed and we have heard nothing about him and now we are just a couple of days from the deadline
Right?
Scores 18 goals as a rookie. Makes any pk a sh threat. Easily top 3 speedsters in the league. Plays chippy, a pest if not overly physical. This is not a player that a team should discard without consideration. Wtf is going on? ( yes we can all imagine what’s going on).

As a rookie I would say he is. When McAvoy entered he joined a really good bruins team which helped hide his defects. Sanderson is fully exposed.

didnt McAvoy step in as a rookie in the playoffs playing basically top pairing minutes? It was against us in 2017 iirc.

McAvoy was amazing right away, strong team or not.

afraid of getting sued

Lots of media outlets were afraid to even talk about the HC stuff at the start.

I agree though they should be more talk. the silence around Formenton is wild to me

Not in the playoffs but the next year. He was playing the 2nd most minutes after Chara but ahead of Carlo, Millar, Krug, etc... He was used in all situations and was dope all season long.

Sanderson's first 20 games in the NHL are better than McAvoy's first 20 IMO, but if Jake Sanderson EVER becomes what McAvoy was last year we should consider ourselves pretty lucky. I think he could be that good but it will take a significant amount of development in his game. I worry that that development is being jeopardized by our current coaching staff.
No one is going to hold back Sanderson's development. The kid is a total pro and he's going to be a game breaker for us.

It seems to me that our hockey media guys/gals "report" on things but do not "investigate" things. They have space or time to fill in their media and take the easy way out. It's understandable given their dependence on the players, team and league for fodder and their owners for their paycheque which is advertising dependent.
Or they likely
Know why he hasn’t signed as well lol

Carlo?
Schneider?
One of the Jets dmen?
Edmundson or Matheson from MTL?
Hopefully the first three and no one from MTL.

Hoping MTL is stuck with Matheson's whole contract and don't get much from Edmundson. Then again, seeing how Chiarot got a 1st rounder, I won't be surprised if Edmundson lands them a 1st

Carlo or Parayko would be nice. Parayko might even come slightly cheaper then expected due to the length on his contract and his slow start to the year

So is it the league that doesn't want him to play this yr or the team? Why wouldn't Formenton's management team not sign what the Sens offered given his value has plummeted? There is clearly something else at play & it's obviously regarding the HC dilemma & the stain that has on HC & any team related to it.

The educated guess says its the league. The league just want the thing to go away and want to avoid talking about it. Was it Dorion or DJ that made a rather vague statement about it a ways back. Dorion/DJ was being careful not to be too direct about it, but he hinted that he was getting direction from the league and how to handle this & what to say.

I can't believe Formenton or his agent would not take a one year deal this year even if it was low and then go at next year again (possibly with a different team because of a trade). Unless his contract is a big leap, it would be hard for him to make up the money he's lost perhaps.
