This is basically what I'm thinking. Especially since negotiations opened up a couple days ago, and the Connor Brown to Edmonton rumor popped up not long after that. Gives me the impression that Edmonton knows they're not getting Giroux & Ottawa moving Brown might be to make room for Giroux.

Yup, makes a lot of sense, Brown is a likely casualty of it if it happens.
