Sather didn't make a move lasy tear when it looked like they might drop to the 5 seed. Sometimes platers appreciate stuff like that.

Its fun for fans and media to bang the trade drums but like the cliche says, sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make.

Unless he's floored, I can't see Sather making a huge trade. If they keep nosediving I can see Torts gone before Gaborik is traded.

From the first page:

50/50 Clowe is dealt. Wilson wants #1 pick plus for Clowe.

I'd imagine if the deal involves Clowe signing long term with the team he goes to (as has been speculated), the asking price gets jacked up a bit as he is no longer just a rental. Hence why the speculation around Couturier. I still think the Flyers are crazy if they make that trade though, so not buying it.

Couturier is overrated, IMO, but it would be a bad trade for the Flyers, simply because if they're trading Couturier, they need to be getting a defenseman back.
