So that tells me he barely takes any face offs and is a primarily a winger.
Correct. He's taken draws at a slightly lower rate than RNH this year.

What I said applies to everyone though. For instance, the difference between McDavid(47%) and Drai(54%)'s FO% would be McDavid winning 0.7 more faceoffs per game. A 7% swing is huge and still doesn't even equate to winning an extra draw per game.

The thing about faceoffs is there are only a handful of very specific scenarios where they mean pretty much anything at all, and you cannot really get an edge for those ones because every team in the league has at least one 52+% guy who takes all of them.

Not this again...

Skinner and Pickard were both playing like bottom-tier goalies when this team was still good and barely letting a single high-danger fart squeak by. Now the defense has collapsed and they've been totally exposed.

Upgrading on them is easy, as plenty of backups and some starters who are outperforming them behind a weaker defensive structure than our own would likely be available.

then name the BETTER goalies that are available for us to debate

McDavid's percentage also takes a huge hit because he has to take so many draws where Draisaitl kicks out, which I imagine means he can't be as aggressive as he otherwise would be. When he locks in on face-offs like he did during the four nations, he was very strong.

Like why would we be hating on Skinner? Here’s the f***ing reasons lol

Don’t forget that other stat with Skinner’s numbers against top 10 teams, which are basically sewer worthy.

Binnington would be a risky choice. One good season out of the last four, and that season isn't this year. Plus he's expensive.

It would be intriguing to see how it plays out, but I wouldn't be super optimistic.
That’s the thing I don’t get. Quite a few saying “Hell no to Gibson” based on a few bad years but ignoring Dallas Eakins was their coach as they headed towards a rebuild and they had the worst GA in the NHL. Binnington though, gets the thumbs up because of a 4-game tournament. The only major difference is the health, complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

She's reading HF, so not all back lol

But did Odie confirm? Any word from John Arbuckle about this?

There better be a whole lot of retention for Saros, because right now Saros is a lateral move, and marginal improvement at best on paper (though I have zero doubt he's an improvement over what we got).

Frederic - McDavid - Hyman
Kane - Draisaitl - Donato
Podkolzin - Nuge - Arvidsson
Perry - Henrique - Brown

Ekholm - Bouchard
Nurse - Murphy
Kulak - Emberson

He's not, he's an improvement, but up to $7M next year will be tough.
