Again, they deserve a chance to win, you might quit, but management shouldn't. Get them help and support, the future assets are nice, but these guys aren't in their early 20s.

I’d trade pretty much anything outside of Savoie for a package of Carlo+Geekie. We all know what Carlo is but Geekie is one of the most underrated players in the league, 6’3 215lb right shot C, can also play wing, has 20 goals, only 2 mill AAV.

Bowman face reminds me of a delinquent step uncle who lives in a smelly 1 bedroom bachelors pad who cant hold a job down for any lenght of time and is always trying to low key brag about his accomplishments. Connor Murphy is a solid 2nd pair defender with another year yet and makes second pairing money. Last year right shot middle pair d with no remaining years cost around a 1st. Ryan Donato has 23 goals and 46 points this year which instantly makes him our 3rd best forwards. We just spent a 2nd on a worse guy, so that’s a 1st which O’Reilly is. 2 firsts to fill 2 major spots is fair value. If anything it might be not enough.

Agree with this but it's not a all in situation most of us think it is. If/when McD extends, our cup window will remain open for another 5 to 10 yrs.
If he doesn't then we still would have Draisaitl and others for a while.
This team has been a bottom 5 team with McDrai. They aren’t now. Swap rosters and we absolutely would be lol

Yeah, I don't assume that for a number of reasons, not the least of which is health. Go after it, stop waiting. Long term McDavid staying will also be affected by how much of shit management actually gives.

I was obviously exaggerating. Hyman, Nuge, Kulak etc seem useless at the moment but are better than AHLers.
Parayko is out for the season.. maybe this makes STL give up on the season and trade us Binnington.

Our current window is not just Mcdrai, it’s Ekholm who completely transformed our back end and has shown signs of aging this season, though still elite. How much longer will he be a top pair Dman for? He won’t be easy to replace.

Bowman literally sat around all season with a box of chicken wings collecting a mill. Didnt even try correcting the cap situation or jettisoning off underachievers. The ultimate procrastinator. Imagine if we did this at any of our 9 to 5's ? This guy should be shot out of Edmonton in a cannon.

We had a Devils fan come in here and suggest Jake Allen, he has similar numbers to Gibson and he's 8th in GSAx. Binnington would be nice with some retained, especially now that their playoff push is set to collapse with their Top D-Man getting surgery.
Soderblom in Chicago is doing well on a poor team and might be available with the much higher-paid Spencer Knight coming in as their goalie of the future, and Mrzaek's contract scaring off other teams.
Anton Forsberg and Levi Merilainen could be options. Both are far exceeding our tandem behind what was a worse defensive team for most of the year.
Jonathan Quick's numbers look good in New York. So do Talbot's in Detroit. Alex Lyon is a pending UFA, so he could potentially be had if Detroit decides on another goalie.
Lots of options out there but Bowman needs to actually look and make some calls.
