Two bottom six forwards and a D for Gaborik...

Shameful.

yea it should be top 6 winger, bottom 6 grinder like Prust, PP righty D

I still think Tanguay, Glencross, Babchuk is a descent combo plus a pick for Gabby and spare parts like Bickel, Gilroy

Flames will move Iginla so Gaborik is their top RW

Whats the point at this point in the season? I wouldn't make any moves until the draft. Not like doing anything is going to work. This team sucks. Badly.

I refuse to believe a team that was first last yr all of a sudden sucks, yea some changes but not a ton.............they are obviously going to try and get in , LA won the freaking cup as the 8th seed

Theres a reason only 1 8th seed has ever won. Grow up.

Traded away our 1st round draft pick.. ouch. I hope sather can miraculously trade someone for a 1st rounder.

Are we more focused on now or the future at this point? Do we want players that will put us in the playoffs this season, or do we want players that will put us in the playoffs for seasons to come? Because the battle for the 8th and 7th seed is wild and we all know Gaboriks been playing like crap and he needs to go. But for him are you guys thinking about getting good prospects and a couple good surrounding players or someone equal to Gaborik? That's another point, at this stage I feel like Gaborik's value is low because he's not generating offense and his contract expires the year after this one. So let's maybe get off the attention of how good Gabs can be as a player and focus on how he is right now because the point of view from our perspective is that Gaborik is an elite player that can make brilliant goals and help your offense out tremendously. But is that how he's playing right now? No. But he still can play that way but people may not realize that and you have to be empathetic to their needs and thoughts on Gaborik's preformances recently.

It's not unreasonable that the Rangers are sellers at the deadline if this keeps up.

Lol.. 2 bottom forwards and a righty dman?

Thats the "right price"? Torts is the only one who's lost this team...

If we trade a guy whos scored 40+ goals for us twice and managed to become one of the best goal scorers in franchise history in short time, for two bottom six forwards and a D?

**** no. I will refuse to watch this ****ing team. Refuse. ENOUGH OF THE GRINDING.

I hope the first game against us Gaborik scores 5 just to spite these morons and their proposals. Baffling.

Watching Insider Trading, the message I got wasn't that the Rangers were looking to trade Gaborik for a couple bottom six forwards and a righty defenseman.

They are listening on Gaborik. They are looking for a couple bottom six forwards and a righty defenseman. Two distinct thoughts. I can't imagine them moving Gaborik without getting a top 2 line winger in return.

If hes getting traded a 1st has to be part of the deal since we dont have one, but I dont see him getting moved til the draft.

If Sather isn't offered a 1st by anyone I hope to god he has enough sense in him to wait until the draft unless it's a really beneficial offer.

Schenn, Simmonds, Voracek. All were considered bottom 6 guys when they were dealt. Worked out pretty well. A bottom 6 player at age 20 is still a bottom 6 player right now. They just have high upside

That's what I took from it as well.

I hope so. Time to bring in more players who can play the system. Maximize the asset before his value plummets

Gaborik, Fast and 2 of our 3rds for Dubinsky, Anisimov, Tyutin
Kreider for Prust + a 2nd
Powe + Thomas for Fedotenko
Gilroy, Hrivik and a pick for Johnny Malkin
Waive Hamrlik
Send down Miller

Nash - Step - Hags
Minor Malkin - Richards - Pyatt
Dubinsky - Aninsimov - Callahan
Prust - Boyle - Fedotenko
Asham

Tyutin - Girardi
Staal - Stralman
McD - MDZ
Bickel

Weeded out The non Torts elements
Happy now?

Voracek was far from a bottom 6 player on the Jackets. He was on the first line with Nash quite a bit. Simmonds was deemed 'untouchable' by Dean Lombardi and had a 40 pt season. Brayden Schenn was deemed the best prospect in hockey at the time of the trade. All three, high end prospects. The point is moot either way since Carter/Richards had 100x the value Gaborik has.

The vibe I got from the TSN crew was that they're shipping Gaborik for Torrey Mitchell, Zenon Konopka and Clayton Stoner.

What Voracek was coming off back to back ~50 point seasons at age 20 and 21. Schenn was a top prospect. And I admittedly do not know how Simmonds was perceived while in LA/as a prospect.
