There was about a 5-day back-n-forth on the Jokinen-Prust deal which drove me nuts. And that was Jokinen and not MSL. Its just Sather's way sometimes (frequently).
What did it take them to officially intro AV? That was about 3 weeks LOL.
But for some reason Im cool with this one.
I really put faith in MSG not screwing over their own guy in Boomer.

When has he ever broken a trade? He's in the "know" now? Enough so to discredit Boomer?
I don't remember Boomer doing publicity stunts. He's a genuine fan of the team meaning what he wants is what we want - them to be successful.
He doesn't spew trade rumors often either. He'll offer opinion on what he thinks the Rangers should do sometimes but never claims he has something concrete when he doesn't. Every time he goes on record about a specific trade it happens.
Yet, people on here are discrediting him and his sources based on... what? Because what he's saying doesn't make sense to them?
Foolish to think what he's saying doesn't hold a lot of substance. And it's foolish to think that in the trade breaking realm of sports reporting, that Larry Brooks can even remotely compare to Boomer.
Their sources are different. Boomer's are higher, clearly, as he's done this time and time again on big trades.

Brooks might not have "broken" a trade, but I'm fairly sure there are instances of things like him having MDZ on the block before anyone else.
The point is how can you take what he says over what Boomer says in this situation?
Boomer gives names. Those trades happen.
Brooks has never done that.

yep. seems like we've been dealing with, at best, an rumor and at worst, simple trolling. disappointed in boomer. thought he would be above this kind of stunt. guess the 'radio wars' will make a man do terrible things...

Brooks gets a lot of unfair crap here. He is easily our best beat writer, and if he doesn't have "sources", I guess he's just the best at making educated guesses. Either way, he knows his ****.
