Why are you acting like a petulant child?

If BOTH nobodies and stars have great stats in juniors, how does it not prove my point? I assume you’re an adult?
Well pretty much every star players have great juniors stats if not all and not all nhl busts have great junior stats.

It doesn't mean everything I agree but dont act like you can disregard Hage production like that, there's a reason pretty much every GM gonna ask for him. Anyway to each his own opinions, enjoy ur night.

Yeah and the discussion was about if Hage was gonna play center or wing so how does your point matter?

The Habs were quite healthy, it should be noted.

Is this a 106 pt season if Caufield is out for two months and Suzuki misses 3 weeks to an ankle sprain and Hutson dislocates a finger and needs 6 weeks before he has full grip strength?

Of course not, but that's true for every team out there........but, the Habs next year will be in a much better position if injuries happens.
Can't replace a Suzuki or a Caufield but we have prospect getting closer like Engstrom, Reinbacher, Xhekaj, Beck......and if we keep all our assets, move can still be made at any time during the season. There's no deadline here.

The weirdest thing is people are like our windows is over in 2 years it's over we have failed Florida will win it all for the nest 5 years and i'm like bro Huton is 22, Slaf is 22, Demidov 20, Dobson 26, Caufield 26 and like Marchand is 38, Barkov 31, Ekblad 30, MT 28, Reinhart 30. Makes 0 sense to act like our window is over in 2 years yet Florida had 5 more years to theirs.
And that’s why Ottawa did well getting the 29 first.
Putain !!! Just read its top 10 protected . So no not good

Cherrypicking our drafted players lmfao? Can be Demidov,Hage,Hutson, etc.

It a good trade for both parties, Brady was not resigning in Ottawa. Florida still need a goalie.
Brother he is signed already for the long term .
He hurt them and they blew the trade,....

ps. my bad, thought he had 4 years, instead he has two as a few posters rightfully corrected me

Yea with this trade Hugo sort of don’t have the choice but to make a move.

Both the Leafs and Panthers have added.

The Atlantic will be a nightmare.
If adding a horse raddysh makes the leafs a nightmare then every team would be a contender .
Leafs will suck , will miss the playoffs . They just not good and dumping their best goalie and adding a 🐴 raddysh ain’t changing that.

Florida have improved but not as much as people imagine . Let’s see how their goalie situation playos out

At full price he doesn't fetch that, but at 3 million retention they most definitely net a blue chip prospect and late 1st minimum.

EP40 at $8.6M for another 6 years.
Maybe some teams will give it a hard look......but in the end, I highly doubt any teams take on that contract while giving a cost controlled blue chip prospect in the process.

With a top 6 like they have and a healthy Barkov, they are favourites to come out of the east I would think.

Definitely need that 2C this year. Trade picks and prospects for Thomas and picks/prospects and Gallagher to Van for Hronek to play with Hutson. Recoup some late rd picks for any player / prospect we don’t need

I still disagree. But I guess we will see.
I see what your saying, EP sure has soured since having some great years. I don't particularly love him the most, but for a pick (28th) and maybe Engstrom I think that could be fair.

If Van retains let's say 3.0M you get a 30 goal scorer (you gotta bank that a change of environment will propel him back if not even better) for 8.6M/year for a year after Cole, Matheson and Guhle (EP expires in 2032, those guys in 2031). I like that idea of having him and Demidov play with a big physical wing or centre for that line. EP doesn't have to be the centre, but he could be depending on what they go out and get.

The possible cheapness of this deal is what I think can be the catalyst. Hughes uses other assets to get other players and the Habs are really cooking. I feel like one of the deals (top 6 C and W, with a top4 RHD) will have to be a "cheap one" if we move the needle further this year.

I'm struggling with having patience for Hage and Zharkovsky. If we can insulate them coming in and making trades that don't involve them, it will greatly be to the Habs advantage. They may also need to be traded, to make deals and I am torn on that.

I wasn't able to read between the lines, what do you think EP will fetch and what is your interest in him?

Who's the best canadian (s) Panthers would trade for Caufield?

Maybe we get Reinheart as stud RH center finally and they do it 1:1 for the age difference
