I think we all agree that the right side needs an upgrade, regardless of Ghule staying. I guess that upgrade could be internal (Rein/ Eng), but that seems risky to me.

If at the start of next season Hutson still has to play on the right side with Struble AND Demidov is still stuck with Kapanen, this summer will have been a massive failure for the front office.

Not asking for Hischer and Carlson here. Just acquire players who will help your core guys play to their strengths. It's as simple as that.

Someone suggested Boeser. Not my first choice, but at least there is a genuine scoring threat playing with Demidov.

Connor Murphy? Not the guy to pair with Hutson, but definitely good enough to be paired with Matheson or Guhle, thus allowing Hutson to play LHD full time with Dobson.

Sometimes those 2nd tier additions are not about saving the team. It's about allowing your best elements to play to their strengths.
