And you know this how?The habs still lose 4 straight with Arber in the lineup. Punching faces won't make you feel better.

What we’re hearing as the Canadiens embark on what may or may not be a critical offseason
Do the Canadiens absolutely need to make a major addition this offseason? It depends on their perspective of what this season meant.www.nytimes.com
Highlights:
- Term and Age considerations when it comes to making big swings on guys. Examples of some veterans they'd be interested in for more modest cost/term are Zacha via trade or Marchment as a UFA.
- Would need a serious needle mover to trade their top prospects.
- Dach: No contract talks yet, but not opposed to giving him a QO if a deal can't be worked out.
- Gallagher: Willing to buy him out, but there's a belief that Montreal wont need attach an asset to move him - Vancouver is an option.
- Montembault: Willing to bring him back as insurance and give Fowler more minutes in the AHL if needed.
Yikes.
Usually, Arpon/Engels are the management's mouthpieces, and both are saying the same thing.
Doesn't look overly promising for the summer.
RUN IT BACK WITH KIRBY.
For sure. He doesn't shy away from contact, uses his size for crease position, winning battles along the board, and hits when there's opportunity.McTavish is not hit crazy type like Anderson can be but he's very physically strong. Good ability to be a problem along the boards and in front of the net.
Sometimes, all you need is the big body who can win battles. Other fans look at hits. I don't. I look at how they can keep the puck and take it away! That's the most important.

He is not soft in the least. But I love hearing these negatives about him, hopefully it makes him more affordable.
I don't like the Dach being brought back option but its a million times better than bringing back Montembeault who would've single handedly cost us a playoff spot if he wasn't benched just a brutal move if they do it.Yikes.

Dach is ok on the 4th line IF they actually get an aggressive mean player for that line too. But like you, I suspect that for the most part they will run it all back... on D, at center, on PP, behind the bench... Trades are hard.I don't like the Dach being brought back option but its a million times better than bringing back Montembeault who would've single handedly cost us a playoff spot if he wasn't benched just a brutal move if they do it.

Maybe crushing Taylor "Tough Guy" Hall rewires the Canes narrative of being the tough guys. There is certainly no one on the Canes that can touch X.
Or we field LX and Beck to push back against the Canes physicality. They certainly can play that game.
Don't ignore that the Canes were mauled by the Panthers and lost.
If you believe that doing nothing and surrendering four straight, maybe that makes you feel better.
A year ago, the Washington Capitals were massacring the Habs.
Then Xhekaj replaced Struble and the Habs won a game. The whole team played better.
But that didn't last, the next game the referees forged an alliance with the Capitals. I don't know what can be done about that.
Ferris is Marner's agent and also Josh Anderson's
Stop it with the inconvinient facts...A year ago, the Washington Capitals were massacring the Habs.

The refs targeting X is the stupidest narrative that st louis concocted and brown nosing media just ate it up. Just like everything else that comes out of his mouth.Stop it with the inconvinient facts...
Funny thing about intimidation, the biggest mfer wins it every time. X crushing Hall delivers the message and the the rest of the canes can make their life choices. Then there was LX, which is next level controlled unhinged.
Peewee did NOTHING. What irks me the most is that was his ego talking...because if X did change the narrative, PeeWee has a strategy and credibilty problem that no one ignores ...

Pieces like this can be used for posturing. Everyone knows the Habs a ready to take the next step, and rival GM's can ask for the moon, knowing that HuGo are motivated to improve the team in critical areas and have highend assets to do so.Yikes.

The toughest in the league, by a wide margin...was sitting because of PeeWee.Get tougher players that don't need to be aggressively sheltered to be effective.
We were intimidated, plain and simple. That is not only reversable, we had the players that enjoy doing it. If Panthers did that to the Canes, so can we, even more....Q lot of people defend MSL making zero changes on the basys that the Habs would have lost regardless.
But in this universe, we know with certainty what happened, the Habs lost four in a row.
My perception is that the Habs offense was restricted to the perimeter, and that's why they lost.
