There's no way we trade Guhle given the lack of physicality from our other top 5 dmen. We need another Dman like Guhle (preferably who shoots right).


Hell no. Shit no. Wright is slow, soft, horrible defensively, bad in the face-off dot, not trending in the right direction, scared of his shadow, etc. There's a reason he isn't getting much ice time in Seattle even on a weak roster and they'd like to move him. The Carolina series taught us that we need more speed, physicality and better two-way play up front.

How do our D unfold in the next 5-6 years to you? We have Hutson, Matheson, and Guhle all signed for that amount of time on the left side. Look at how the ice time is distributed right now currently.

Do we continue to try to play Hutson RD? Do we have 20+ mil on LD for the foreseeable future? How does it realistically work out to you?

Looking more and more that there are no good center options and if you force a trade, you will get burnt.

Sometimes you just have to accept to overpay to get what you need.

It's either that or you run it back with Kapanen/Evans/Newhook at 2C, which means a shit center for Demidov again and all the pressure on the 1st line again. This, IMO, is just not acceptable.

Not really tho.
They just can't have 2 of Kap/Evans/Newhook on the 2nd line (when everyone is healthy). Adding one legit top6 forward, is what is needed, availability will dictate the position of that forward.

I have 2 sources that are solid as can be, that are telling me that there will be a trade between tomorrow and the start of the season. Don't ask me who they are, I am protecting their identity.
