  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
Devon Toews/Cale Makar? Quinn Hughes/Brock Faber?

Not every D pairing follows or has to follow the Offensive - Defensive template. If both D are even average on the D side it's fine. If we have the puck most of the time they're on the ice it won't matter anyway.

If we sign Carlson for 2 years, it gives a year for Carrier to play out the rest of his deal, and then Reinbacher slots in the year after if he's not traded. High $ now but off the books quick. He's essentially taking Laine's money.
You concerned Carlson never had good playoffs?

18 pts in 69 career playoff games, he's been a non-factor a lot I'd say

If the cost was really low and we struck out on everything else
Despite the lack of points he was very good in the Oilers run to the finals in a bottom 6 role. He absolutely flies if you let him which he hasn't really been allowed to stretch his legs much with Buffalo under Ruffs system

Either way he's a good player for the right price

For what it's worth, I'm all in for McLeod.
Are you tempering our expectations Adam?

He's 6 feet 3 and a left handed center so there's that. Not the worst defensively and I guess a 50% faceoffs guy but....

He's not a proper 2nd line center, nor does he have the talent or creativity to play with Demidov, he would benefit from it but I can't say his vision or puck handling would give more chances to Demidov, maybe more puck retrieval but that's it.

He's a consolation prize for what this team needs really... and would cost a pretty penny to acquire. At least with Mactavish, you can sell me on the higher upside...if one were to reach his ceiling yada yada.

Dylan Cozens or Josh Norris would be better 2nd line centers, if I assess the cost correctly, I'd rather stand pat.

How do you feel about Lundell? If Florida get's Larkin somehow...

I don't hate it but it makes zero sense for a buffalo team that wants to get back to the playoffs
Buffalo has too many forwards signed for next season and if they are trying to keep Tuch, they also need more cap room. Benson and Krebs also need new contracts and they only have $11m.
