Yes.

That is why he had 0 points and was a -4 against Carolina in 4 games in the 1st round.

A true playoff performer and a great leader on top of that.
He had 7pts in 6gp in the previous playoffs. He will look fine in FLA, let's be real.

He's an unloveable jerkoff but he's a good acquisition by FLA. They're not afraid to mortgage the future to acquire players they want (who aren't available) like it is playstation or something.

I genuinely don't think any GM in the league would prefer Caufield to Brady Tkachuk at their current contracts.
The smart ones would. Now Brady might be alright in the shathole Miami but if he was on an average or mediocre team he would just be a whining asshole.

Guess no one told the Pamthers about this "salary cap hell" I keep hearing about.
Oh they still have about $7m in capspace, but no goalie (their 3 prospects on ELC never played in the NHL) and they would need a 7th dmen too I think.

They're an attractive team with attractive pieces, where there's a will, there's a way.

He is a good acquisition for Florida as much as he is a good riddance for Ottawa.

Also, they are in a position to mortgage the future as half of their forward are over 30 and half of their D also are.

If Suzuki was 33 and Caufield 32 and Hutsond and Demidov and Slaf where 28, then that might be a different story for us. But for now, two of our superstars were on their ELC last playoffs.

To think BT could have been a hab

I’m happy he wasn’t. Yeah he is obviously a way better player than Kotkaniemi but I don’t think the Habs are where they are now without going through a proper rebuild. I don’t think that happens with Tkachuk on the team. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Tkachuk forced his way out of Montreal like he did Ottawa.

Wow! Absolutely stunned that the Sens traded away Brady. Sure didn’t expect that trade.

Big loss for Ottawa, good for us I guess lol

They've already won two cups and they're not stopping... I just want to win one!

I definitely wouldn't want to trade too many futures now before we know what this team is really made of. Caufield for instance lost a lot of credit with me with his playoff play. If he has another stinker playoffs he should be dealt with. We won't be able to keep running it back and hitting the same wall. FLA traded their "best" forward Huberdeau and it changed their entire fortunes. I think that's the real lesson here.
