Are you serious? Hutson and Dobes just need to toughen up...Its pretty clear now that we must not trade Arber!

Yep, 9th overall pick and then the other 1st are pretty late (assuming Florida goes back to their winning ways).I know Ottawa's hands were probably tied. But that seems like a weak return imo.
Why not? He's a physical winger who is reasonably priced and exactly the type of sandpaper we need. And to be able to get him practically for nothing (Gally) would be even better. Not interested in DeBrusk whatsoever, personally. My comment had more to do with how pathetic VAN is to want to announce Gallagher as a big splash.
Would you rather Cole Caufield or Brady Tkachuk on your roster if you had to pick one?The idea of Brady Tkachuk has always been better than the reality of him. The Sens have won precisely nothing with him. Last year they played the Leafs and got punked. This year they played the Canes and got punked. Brady is no more impactful to his team's success than Darcy Tucker was for the Leafs. He's a sideshow clown, nothing more.
Given the rumour that the habs were looking at Lafreniere and there were reported talks with Laine going back the other way (and more) the habs and Rangers might be able to make a trade.Zero in on Will Cuylle now. I'm prepared to pay the piper.
It was a bad trade then and never got better. Hughes got it wrong with Dach.Yep, 9th overall pick and then the other 1st are pretty late (assuming Florida goes back to their winning ways).
Kirby f***ing Dach got a 13th overall.
The cast around him is way better in Fla then OTTThe idea of Brady Tkachuk has always been better than the reality of him. The Sens have won precisely nothing with him. It was probably a huge distraction for the team. So they took what they could get. What the f**ck is Ottawa doing? If Brady wanted out, why not start a bidding war and get back some young players to build around?
There has to be more to this because to only get back draft picks no matter how high they are makes no sense. You’re telling me they couldn’t even pry Lundell away ?
FFS…
I doubt Tkachuk would want a trade from OTT to MTL either, I don't think any one is grumbling about that.
It's just that some organizations seem to constantly be active and pro-active and others seem to be more opportunistic and reactive. We've needed a 2C for well over a year now.
You can’t say that - that’s worst case scenario.Brady went for basically Reinbacher + Beck + Mesar. Thankfully a lot of you are not our GM, wanting to give up more for worse players.
Ouch, that really puts things into perspective lolYep, 9th overall pick and then the other 1st are pretty late (assuming Florida goes back to their winning ways).

His fate is to turn into another Gallagher and drop-off sooner rather than later, imo. A lot of PP points... his Pts to PPPts ratio is a red flag. Why not? He's a physical winger who is reasonably priced and exactly the type of sandpaper we need. And to be able to get him practically for nothing (Gally) would be even better.
And Florida isn't getting any younger, plus no Bobrovsky next season. Why though?
Ottawa gets weaker, Florida regroups
Florida also has an incomplete roster, no goalies and 7 mill in cap space only, from what i have read at least
Montreal isnt f***ed in my opinion
They got fleeced. They should have at least got a grade a prospect and a young future star or a really good player and picks. They got nothing but a hope and a prayer of 2 picks in a weak draftI know Ottawa's hands were probably tied. But that seems like a weak return imo.
I recall a lot of outrage here that the great Heineman was dealt for Dobson lolYeah. Like the team that traded for Noah Dobson.
Marchand will be 38 next season wont be a problem for long. He is 11 years and a few months older than Suzuki and according to our fans Suzuki's career will be over in 2 years.Tkachuk x2, Marchand, Bennett, Mikola, etc
Holy shit
And yet they could win a CupAnd Florida isn't getting any younger, plus no Bobrovsky next season.
Agreed, I seriously don't know WTF the Sens were doing here. They got fleeced. They should have at least got a grade a prospect and a young future star or a really good player and picks. They got nothing but a hope and a prayer of 2 picks in a weak draft
And yet they could win a Cup
Just need that scum barkov to go down again and they are DONE.And yet they could win a Cup
The old guard of the East isn't about to hand over the keys just yet. What about Tampa? Surely they will make some moves as well.
The Habs are in tough. Kent Hughes job just got tougher.
Given the fact they could've just held onto Brady, you gotta figure they'll make a move or two to improve their roster now with ready roster players. I don't think this is a one-off.Agreed, I seriously don't know WTF the Sens were doing here.
Bussi just won the cup.I would pump the brakes until we know who is in net for them. If they do get Hellebuyck like rumoured for a while? Absolutely Cup contenders. If they end up signing Bob again or trust in Stuart Skinner? Nah.

If they get Knies and those two other 1st rd picks it's a great overall deal for Brady. If not, yikes!!!Watch Ottawa flip 9th overall and other pieces for Matthew Knies now. Rumours are Toronto is trying to trade for another pick in the top 10 to target a D.
