Hughes better start doing something about adding more size, more bite and more toughness on that team.

Beside Xhekaj, nobody is standing for anybody. No identity on this team.

Get f***ing creative bald dude.

Just pull the trigger and do it right now before another team wakes up and grabs him.

Kessel brings zero toughness, I'd go after Clutterbuck

Kessel is washed out. Leave the roster spot to Kapanen

This reminds me of when Montreal drafted McCarron after the Ottawa series. Adding a fighter doesn’t deter shit. Xhekaj, one of the premier heavy weights and n the league was in the lineup and it didn’t prevent it a 6’5”, big bodied player from getting injured. That’s not the answer.

Fighter are not the solution as you pointed out, but out bottom 6 need to play a more physical game. Fighting is not fun, but its over in less then 60 seconds, Being hit constantly for 60minutes, that is even less fun.

I imagine that ship has sailed.
Yeah, I’m sure you’re right.
Going to be a long year. I feel for NS carrying this team and not playing a meaningful game past mid November.

Do we have to protect Laine? Another team won't claim if he is indeed injured long term. Most teams up against cap, only few interested when Colombus had Laine. You know he won't be claimed they have to pay him for 2 years only get 1 year service. Opens up a roster spot. Put Laine on LTIR once season starts.

This long standing and we'll established fact won't deter some from pining for moar fighters every time a player gets hurt, c'est la vie.
