Cozen has more assists than Dach has career points, not to mention his 30g season something Caufield has yet to do and he's 50/50 at faceoffs. All 2019 guys.

Anyhow we won't get this 'question mark' player as the Sabres will trade a dollar for 3 caribou with a West coast team, again.

I like Sissons but faceoffs is not our top priority. Rangers are the best in the league yet suck balls this year.
It should become a priority once Dvorak and Evans are both gone. Dach and Newhook will never win a face-off to save their lives, and I'm for having a continued veteran presence even if it's limited to the bottom 9 lines. If Sissons isn't a good veteran presence then forget it. There's Duchene also, but he's getting old.

Speculation:

Would it be possible that the pitiful play by the Habs this season is partly due to the departure on the UFA market of Evans, DvoraK, Armia and Savard (who else). These vet guys don’t seem to have received any new contract offer by the management. Why would they care helping youngsters and helping the team to win more ?

They should give a damn if they want to sign a lucrative deal elsewhere. Anyways, rarely have I seen players not perform during their contract years. It clearly shows that Dvorak brings nothing and was a ridiculous panic plug by the BargainBin. Evans is a 4th line C, I don't see what else you want him to bring to the table. Armia was a BargainBin capdump by the Jets who found a niche here because the previous management loved skilled grinders. Savard is a hasbeen that signed here to be closer to his family. These are not the kind of players that will bring you closer to the Cup. They are just depth in case of injuries.

They all gonna have the excuses of having played on a very weak Habs team filled with unexperienced youngyers and a damn rookie head coach.

I see Dvorak KHL bound next year. There is absolutely no way he returns to the NHL. The others will be traded by Kent for low end picks. Who cares! Good riddance I suppose. I would keep Evans if he accepts a friendly contract.

He doesn’t in MTL. He will find a job, some guys play better when the escape MTL
He has never done anything. Some idiot GM will likely sign him though. But he would have got more money if he had actually made any effort this season. Dadonov was dog crap and he got moved. And he is still dog crap.

Dadonov might be but he has more points than Dach, lol. Dvo is tied with Dach. They are all dog crap.

Why post nonsense? Dach is much younger and even younger in experience.. He may always have a fear of injuries or he may get over it and become a solid scoring line forward.

It’s the truth. You going to tell me Dach has played better than Dvo this year. Dach has been the worst Hab (non goalie) this year by far.

Dach play has been dog crap, hard to sugar coat his play. If Gally had his numbers or put in Dachs effort level he would be roasted on here. Shit play should be called out.

He hasn't exceeded 71 games played since 2017-18, had a shoulder surgery at 18yo that delayed his season debut in 2014, and his game relies on physicality. Him aging well past 30yo would be the proverbial exception to the rule.

If no indisputable 1st line C is available through the trade market, Habs shouldn't go with the "top available" one, as these need too long contracts. Personally I prefer an aging former glory stopgap combined with a lot of darts. Aging vets always find another gear in Montreal. As someone else mentioned, I'd prefer a free Henrique to an overpaid Bennett.
Im hoping for Crosby, this could team could use a serious vet like him.
