Eh, I'd say if you think crying for any reason at all is some kind of weakness or lack of mental toughness, I'd say that's pretty lame man. People cry, for a million different reasons. Maybe he thought about his grandfather? Maybe the thought of someone ridiculing his name made him emotional? So what?It wasn't an attempt at a cheap shot, that's your assumption. You seem to be going far out of your way to protect someone for what I can only guess are political reasons. I shouldn't have to remind you that this is a hockey forum, do I? I'm not going far out of my way to criticize a hockey player who cries when poked. If you think it's normal to cry, as an adult, when someone makes the lightest bit of humor at your name, you're an insecure child. If you think that's the kind of player that survives in Montreal, you're once again deciding to leave your hockey analysis hat off in lieu of another. That's a you problem.
im not , this was the total cost to get those 3
i mean in reality yes but still those assets were needed to make those trades done. Not that I care, but Romanov and the Isles pick def overlap.

What do you mean it's dishonest? That's literally what we paid for perhaps i could remove the 3 way trade but still , it was directly made for Dach. That's just being dishonest.
I agree on that since this was a 3way trade type of thing but they paid to get the asset they needed to get the other asset that chicago wanted.Yeah ok, but they would have traded Romo for Dach straight up if the Hawks had wanted him. They wanted a top15 pick, so they had to turn Romo into a currency the Hawks were willing to accept first and that was the Isles pick.
They have a lot of great players.IF the Preds are going on full rebuild.
Who would be interesting to us ?
Forsberg ?

I don't get it why you think so.
His advanced metrics say differently. I think the Preds are just a tire fire.Fabbro is a giveaway machine. Preds fans hate him. He's not a young guy anymore. This is definitely a pass.
We'll see if San Jose takes him. They have 1st dibs.
Yup - also about proper fit…I suspect he fits MSLs concept betterHis advanced metrics say differently. I think the Preds are just a tire fire.
You think it will be the case under a Habs system no matter how bad the Preds are?Yup - also about proper fit…I suspect he fits MSLs concept better
Fabbro has a better xGF% this season than all of Habs defencemen.
To be fair advanced stats told us that Tom Gilbert was good. His advanced metrics say differently. I think the Preds are just a tire fire.
I wish we had Tom Gilbert instead of about 5 of these defenders. To be fair advanced stats told us that Tom Gilbert was good.
Simpler times, but I think he'd struggle with whatever they're trying to do.I wish we had Tom Gilbert instead of about 5 of these defenders.
Yes…short term & then who knows - NHL experience matters for DmanYou think it will be the case under a Habs system no matter how bad the Preds are?
Claim Fabbro. The team has plenty of cap space and he is UFA. Play him and move him at the deadline. These guys need somebody, anybody, to make them scared of their jobs.Friedman says he doesn't think Fabbro will be picked up from waivers because of his contact which is 2.5 million for this year
It means taking on 2.5 milliom for a below average player but more importantly sending down Xhekaj/Struble.I can’t see how Hughes doesn’t put a claim in on Fabbro.
It’s a free asset, we need right hand shooting defensemen, he’s shown he can play at a high level very recently, and he has ample cap space.
Should be noted that Hughes could also elect to retain on Fabbro and deal him to a contender at the deadline and acquire further assets if he decides he isn’t part of the team’s short or long term plans.
Basically it’s free money for Hughes, who has shown he is more than willing to make deals of that nature.
Sending Xhekaj down could be good for him, as it was last year.It means taking on 2.5 milliom for a below average player but more importantly sending down Xhekaj/Struble.
We are not desperate for the cap space and he is better than Gustav Lindstrom.I can’t see how Hughes doesn’t put a claim in on Fabbro.
