Indeed.

Though hard to imagine Crosby would be ok with that unless he was also ready to move on... Why not all three amigos :naughty:
Since nobody will trade a younger version of a #1/2 line center for a 38 years old version, I doubt Malkin is moving with the intention of the Pens getting "better"...so Crosby will be against it.

But no to the 3 amigos. Letang's contrat is going to be deadweight soon and he's apparently struggling this year already.

Alright that's a bit more interesting.

Mcdavid is a given. Maybe Hyman for an extra viewing.

Jackets can't think of anyone for team Canada. Fantilli is clearly not at that level yet.

Kraken has no one who should be no one considered.

Flames. - Weegar.

Blues - Kyrou, Parayko, Bennington. All 3 should be on the outside looking in, but Canada's goaltending is ooooof

Not a whole lot of tweeners
The Oilers and Kraken have a couple of players each they will want to watch. Some of these are going to be longshots but they still will want to scout them

Edmonton - Bouchard and Skinner
Seattle - McCann and Montour

Other notes on the centers: Complicating the situation for Christian Dvorak is that he has too much of a salary in 2024-25 — $5.75 million ($4.45 million cap hit). We'll see how that goes as that salary drops over the course of the season." - Elliotte Friedman

That's my thought as well... Though I guess if Dubas could swing a deal for Malkin that brought back a U25 NHLer with realistic potential to take a step forward over next 2 seasons (Dach, Zegras types), that could be the type of deal they are looking for with Crosby signed 3 years.

Fair ... If taking on Letang was part the cost of grabbing Malkin &/or Crosby (rather than paying quality assets for him), I'd be ok with it... The cap hit isn't great if he declines further, but I suspect he'd look better playing 18-20min vs the 23min Pitt is leaning on him for.

can't see Letang coming here. plus all Pitts old guys will demand a ransom back

Richard Rakell may be the type of guy KH is looking at.

I wouldn't pay any kind of premium for him, but his connection to KH, being from Montreal, and our need for vet RD support certainly make it feasible there could be mutual interest IF the price was right
