If Fabbro somehow makes it past SJ, that's a 100% claim for the Habs.
He is on waivers. He only makes 2.5 mil . Is he crap or does Trotz not know what he is doing?

Pettersson second worst season is better than Cole’s most productive season, and that is only because for his worst he played 26 games. I know we like to pump up our guys tire here, but can we have some objectivity and recognize that Pettersson has proven to be an elite talent, something Caufield as yet to fulled demonstrate over a season?
The point is that he has been terrible since about half way through last season. If he wasn't hurt last year then why?

The last 44 games of the last season, he had 45 points and +12.

Offensively terrible, yeah. I would take a terrible player like day any day on my team.

He was less productive in his last 30 games yes.

Gotta claim Fabbro if available. Keep some of the youngsters away from this coaching staff. Maillouix pretty much says they arent teaching systems well and Laval is explaining it better.

Best case, Guhle can go back to LD and Fabbro expands RHD depth

Last 30 games, the playoffs and so far this season. HuGo would need to know why if there was a chance of acquiring him.

Yes, its a slow start like I said, but it’s 12 games. The guy is coming off 102 and 89 points season, and has otherwise been around PPG trough out his career. But feel free to evaluate both players on a 12 games sample size.
As I have said it was the latter part of last season and the playoffs as well.

Are we writing off Xhekaj in this scenario I mean he isn't great on the right side.
Maybe have him play in Laval with his Bro?
He certainly won't get any reps with Matheson Guhle and Hutson playing LD.

Definitely not. More keeping guys away from the mess in MTL created by MSL and Robidas and putting one of the youngsters in a better situation to learn

We won't be moving Guhle back unless one of Matheson or Hutson get injured.
His permanent return won't happen until we move Matheson which won't happen until we find a number 1 RD.
It's a clusterf*** it really is.

Hard to know. We can for sure recoup part of the picks. Would not be surprised his value is the same as Shaw when we traded him so low 2nd and low 3rd which is less than what we paid but his contract his good enough and he is young enough to still have value if KH decide to give up.
No one should be giving up on Newhook or Dach at 23 years old. You can't run the team by Rejean Houle standards, making bad trade after bad trade just to fix slumps..

Zero chance Xhekaj would clear waivers he's the premium enforcer in the league. He may not make the blue line of some teams but tons would try him at wing just to beat down other tough guys.

Fabbro would have to push a savard trade or a Barron trade. To be honest none of the young guys are going to hit their peak rotating 5/6 d spots. Even Guhle probably won't hit his potential from all this RD play. Forwards are definitely learning a lot from Marty but robidas seems to be teaching the d absolutely nothing.

RHD who is 26 years old? Yes please, what is the waiver claim order? Are we second after SJ?
Yeah I believe we are 2nd after the Sharks. Sharks are at max roster space and currently have 7 dman with 4 righties. Of course they can send someone down, but I don't think they'd claim him.

As for the Habs, we are also at 7 dmen and puckpedia says we're at 22/23 roster spots. Either way, one of Struble/Xhekaj will need to get sent down because having 8 dmen doesn't make sense. I think Hughes will prefer having our own guys instead.

He's still waiver-exempt.
