We desperately need a Monahan type on the roster, for at least a couple of seasons, to help facilitate the transition from the full on rebuild. I'd be willing to spend a pretty big premium for the right fit at this point.

I would rather finish bottom 3 than spending assets getting a guy like my Monahan and finishing 10-12.

We are stuck with the Dvorak, Armia, RHP, Dach, Newhook and Anderson and Gallagher are showing some leadership but not enough to keep the kids in line or with any kind of focus.

This summer we should sign some leadership for our bottom 2 lines.

If they can teach him to be even average in his own zone, that offence is something they can't pass up.

Or they take Schaffer and trade one or two of the LD they have now.

I seriously doubt a healthy PL would have changed the outcome of most of those games.
The issues go far deeper than one deck chair. He isn't miraculously saving Kirby Dach no way no how.
We need a reliable 2C and a #1RD before we can do anything. This team isn't close to the .500 team I expected this season.
