Ottawa
Stamkos, Laine, Lundell, Kyrou, Kent Johnson.

I can see these as targets. Added two more names to the list. I still think Necas is an option.
I like Alexander Holtz, think he's an RFA

Edit he's got 1yr left

We dont need Stamkos
Laine is another Drouin
Lundell don't see why Florida trades him with all the upcoming Ufas.
Kyrou STL are trying to build around him
Kent Johnson weird for Columbus to trade him since they are rebuilding but idk if we have the assets to give for him unless they want picks...

Stamkos - unlikely to leave to Tampa and if he does have to imagine teams in better positions try to sell him on going there for a year and go on a run.

Laine - usually isn't healthy, good player, but high cap hit

Lundell - can't see Florida having to sell him off. They can likely give him a bridge deal.

Kyrou - Blues want to be competitive. He isn't a player that's hard to play against, but has term and it's long-term.

Kent Johnson - young player and unless he's wanting out, I can't imagine Waddell's 1st, or one of his first moves is to trade Johnson.

Deferred trade. Josh Anderson. This guy has been completely written off . There is no reason he does not come back next year and all of a sudden he has the value of a huge, fast , physical guy who can score some goals. At this point he has close to 0 value so it stays that way or it goes up, possibly by a lot.

I called it from the beg. This guy had René Bourque written all over him. I would say Josh is an upgrade over Latendresse, but the guy never reached 50 points once in his career. This was a terrible trade for the amazing BargainBin. He gave up his best asset that year, who the yr prior had reached 72 points, and a third. And Josh contract's is not aging well today. The BargainBin was definately high that day. Just like Drouin, Josh took him to the cleaners. Meanwhile, guys like PK were lowballed, including Danault. Hughes was offered a first to unload Josh a yr ago, according to rumours but chose to retain him. Anyways, you can buy out the guy, but it's pointless, unless the Habs manage to sign Reinhart or Stamkos this off-season. His style of play is catching up to him.

Yeah I don't like these buyouts. Drives me crazy seeing that salary on the books for years to come. No, Josh Anderson hasn't worked out too well, but we just need him to pick up his game for half a season and boom he is gone by trade deadline and we get a good return

This!! I don’t understand why this trade isn’t brought up more often. This was a horrible trade, we clearly gave away the better player and even if Max Domi didn’t burn the league since the trade we should have gotten a way better return than the Dumb Donkey at the time of the trade.

Domi had enough value that we could have pulled a similar trade to Pacioretty but instead settled for a 30 point player. Another short sighted move that was done due to Bergevin’s ego and him not being able to work with his star players and manage their personalities.

Max Domi made 5 clubs since he left Montreal. He tested UFA Market every year. This is not, what I would call a player with a great market value. Evens leafs fans qould prefer to keep bertuzzi over domi. Gm value, size, center and D position. They don’t care about 40-50 pts winger guy at 5 ft 10. At 5 millions

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. I am talking about the Domi prior to those 5 clubs. He had a better value back then. And the BargainBin gave up the better player + a third for Josh Anderson, a player who never reached 50 points in his career. Domi is UFA while Anderson is costs 5.5 mil on the cap for another 3 yrs.

I would like to see HuGo get two undervalued forwards if possible, while also drafting a top F prospect at 5. An injection of Perfetti, Quinn and one of Lindstrom/Iginla/Catton will do nicely. Roll a talented top 9 and a fourth line that skates and plays aggressively. Pick 26 should bring size and skill if possible. No Mesar-like unforced errors .

Have him consult a sports psychologist and the shot expert. He had a productive year once in Columbus. Reclaim that magic.

He had bad luck at the beginning of the season but worked hard, then he just quit. No question it's a between the ears issue.

Today im still taking Anderson over Domi on my club. He is overpaid, but I prefer having a guy scoring pace of 20’goals and be physical than Domi. Last year was the only one were he didnt reach the 20 goals, but at least he was physical

Problem with this is that if he does play well enough to regain value, he's actually what we need lol

If we could add a fast, physical 25-30 goal PF to our top 6, we'd be set.

& There's the rub.
