Did they change the rule??? Because it must have been different for tampa.Players not activated on last game of the season can’t play in the first 2 rounds.
There's room for a new NHL trophy: MVBC (Most Valuable Bean Counter)Seems like year after year the top teams seem to have an unlimited cap where as a lot of the middle of the road teams have little or no cap space
No i mean they should do that. Would be an easy fix. You can activate injured players if I'm not mistaken.Did they change the rule??? Because it must have been different for tampa.
If they activate Stone on the last day they are over the cap.No i mean they should do that. Would be an easy fix. You can activate injured players if I'm not mistaken.
That should be the rule. Let's say the cap is 80M then every given games you can't have over 80M in aav. Still possible for teams to retain but outside of that a player is always worth is full aav even at the deadline. You increase the cap a bit for playoffs to cover for bigger lineup. Is there a reason why the rule can't be: the team on the roster for a given game cant go over the cap?
Injured player? who care about LTIR: you can replace him by what you want, he's not playing that night. Once you are back, team cant go over the cap, so figure who you want in the line up accordingly.

That's the point. No more cap shenanigans. If they activate Stone on the last day they are over the cap.
Why Plekenac worked out great for the laffs. Please don't trade with the Leafs.
Toffoli gets traded a lot for a good player
OK. So then the cap circumvention is keeping a player on LTIR that is able to play. They would only need 50K in cap space to activate Stone on the last day.
We got nothing out of itWhy Plekenac worked out great for the laffs.
Our GM understood he simply did not go for it.You either go for it or not.....something our last GM never understood.
But it's Vegas, no surprise their GM are operating like they are white powder next to their phones
