Fix what exactly anyway?

There isn't a salary cap or roster limit to go around in the playoff... It's been that way since forever. Teams only need to be cap/roster compliant from the first to the last day of the season.

Also if a team is good enough to compete for a playoff spot when they have one or more star player sidelined long-term, I don't see why the league would need a set of convoluted rules to effectively punish them for being very well run.

Setting aside the argument over whether there should be a cap in the playoffs, the rules wouldn't have to be convoluted to add one. You would just have to make sure that the AAVs for the roster you ice are below the salary cap.

Mackinnon is a great player but he apparently has ridiculous standards for himself that he pushes on his teammates. Like over the top.

That being said Ryjo was not working out and he has been flakey and underwhelming his whole career.
