I'm certain Gallagher would be glad to get out of here right now.

4 more years of our media and fan base, considering his contract and poor play? Yikes.
Not really. No other team will pick him and his salary up and no other team will play him.

He will most likely end up being Montreal's version of Joffrey Lupul.

Gallagher will sooner die than accept the LTIR fate.

Just a flesh wound.

What was the joke of a trade? Gallagher fo rSean Couturier?

Any day!

7,75M fits right into our Cap structure and Couturier is a near PPG, two way C.

Don't like back problems, but, if Couturier falls on LTIR and takes a flight to Robidas Island along the way, the impact on the Cap becomes little to none.

Plus, what did we lose by giving up Gallagher?

If he can play to his level, though, this transforms the team.

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Slafkovsky - Couturier - Monahan
Heineman/Roy - Newhook - Anderson
RHP - Dvorak - Ylonen

Pezzetta, Evans, Pearson, Armia

We're back to my ideal situation, with two legitimate top-6 Cs playing on each of the top two lines. The lineup becomes insulated against injuries to the C-Line.

What would we get from Tampa if we trade them Allen but we take on Seabrook's contract? It expires this year and it actually gives us more cap space with both Price and Seabrook on LTIR (after the season).

How does it work if Tampa puts Seabrook on LTIR before the season and then he is traded? Do we have to take on the same accruement factor or are we able to reset it with a new team?

I applaud the Canadian because Joel Armia has no heart, desire or passion for the game. I have the impression that he is a guy who plays hockey because he has the size and the tools, but I don't think he likes it. Personally, I don't even know how he looks in the mirror after a day's work. If I were in his place, I would donate half of my salary to the Montreal Canadiens foundation or a charity offering. In any case, congratulations to the Canadians! » -Tony Marinaro

Boqvist would be great but there's no point really.. Mailloux and Hutson are coming.
But they’re not here now, with no guaranteed NHL timeline

HuGo have been constantly doubling down on MSL “hockey development whisperer”, that could become a business all into its own - Boqvist deal made with hockey ops evaluation being he can be quickly developed under MSL, thus creating a good situation to be in: trade him or package prospects to acquire a missing element.

Creating options…

Id do something around Boqvist and Monahan
Columbus are still retooling, trading for an UFA wouldn't make sense for them. I would guess they're looking for a early-mid 20's forward locked up for a while. Granted they did go all in on free agents this summer and are trying to compete. I don't see how their D factor into our situation though, since we already lack spots. Boqvist is kind of what we're trying to get out of Norlinder and Barron so he would be a good buy low candidate. But if we trade for Boqvist we have to have something for a Barron trade lined up.
