Really? it for sure generated clicks but it was a bad vibe at the end of the day.

The end result was negative IMO.
He got the clicks, he got the hype.... just that bipolar habs fan espected a trade...

Bipolar? why Bipolar? When the official Habs Twitter account tweets something it means that some real shyte going on, it's not Eklund stuff.

You can't blame supporters for being excited as hell after that first Tweet.

I don't think I'm bipolar and I was quite disappointed at the end of the day.

Fail for sure....

I can't see the Habs doing anything else this offseason besides:

a) Signing Dach
b) Signing a depth RD.

Obviously, we need some cap to do this but I can't see it being anything major. Maybe we even have to give up some (hopefully not great) assets to do it too.

If they can make some cap room, they might be able to take advantage of their priority waiver wire claim which is available to them until Nov. 1st.

And who would he play with? All the guys we are looking to unload? A waste of assets, he is a final piece at 30, not the first move you make. You spend assets to fill holes, we are just holes now, until management sees what they actually need I can't see them going for big ticket items just yet.
You're right we should just suck ass and draft high for years and maybe, maybe, if we are very lucky, we can get a player even remotely close to Huberdeau.

Dubois - Bedard - Anderson
Slaf - Suzuki - Caufield

rest of team who cares. Imagine that top 6 in two years from now.

You can get even stupider depending what happens:

Huberdeau - Bedard - Anderson
Slaf - Suzuki - Caufield
XXXX - Dubois - Dach

You are missing the point completely, Huberdeau only helps suck ass less, not be a winning team. Acquiring him now, will be the equivalent of Bergevin having Price in his prime and wasting it by not having the players to surround him. So yes, I prefer sucking and drafting until you have enough homegrown pieces in the lineup to need to add the players like Huberdeau to make the difference and move the team to the next level. Trading 1st round picks for a player that will be past his prime by the time the rest of the team is in place is a Bergevin type move. Until you know what the missing piece is, #1 defense, or perhaps a goalie, getting him now is like buying expensive custom Mags for your old car, it may make you feel better, but does nothing to improve the car's actual performance.

That literally would be the potential to be a dynasty like we've never seen. Too good to be true.

Again, Dach should never play wing! Dubois is a perfectly great LW.

I think I will make an automated post and post it every time one of you guys put Dach on the wing. It's a crazy thing to do.

Dach comparable is Pierre Turgeon. OK? Capiche?
