I’ve been led to believe that professional athletes are robots and that interpersonal relationships and a sense of feeling appreciated don’t matter and shouldn’t affect their performance because they make a lot of money. Lets be real, BMac/GMCP took a risk. If he didn't pan out here like in LA, that contract would have looked awful and they would have been the subject of a million internet itoldyaso's. The fact that he's earning his contract and at times our best player on the ice, when we're winning a lot, is just awesome! Kudos to the GM office, to Carbs and especially to PLD. Perfect fit and exactly what we needed! Exactly!

Being afraid of being criticized if a move doesn't work out is a terrible reason not to do it, no one in hockey media understands risk management especially now that all the ones that did left twitter, but if you buy capfriendly internet criticism probably isn't a concern to begin with
