I think Chevy knows exactly who he has a good chance to resign and who is already shopping for a luxury condo in other cities…..We may not want to believe it but he has a plan and is playing it out…

saku/kuhlman haven't shown the ability to get the puck anywhere close the net so I would 100% take the guy with close to 300 career goals to the 2 that have a combined 20...
I think he has an idea. He knows for sure on PLD. My guess Scheifele and Helly aren't commiting either way at this point.
Yeah I have no interest in JVR. Like less than no interest.

I think do nothing tomorrow and he'll have a much better idea about how Scheifele and Hellebuyck feel about their future here.

if we got jvr he would have the highest goal total of anyone in the bottom six, but I guess we should stick with kuhlman/saku...
Depends how things work out. A JVR or Bjugstad or Domi really doesn't change much. Worth far less than if Perfetti is healthy for the playoffs, or Helly gets extra hot at the right time. If Chevy does enough to look like he helped and he didn't subtract anything I don't think it changes Scheifele or Helly's mind.
And how many of his 1st round picks and top prospects do you expect him to put into play?

I think 2 of those 3 in for kuhlman/saku would have been a huge upgrade to our bottom six

Maybe, but they are not really difference makers. I'd expect Chevy to pick up some scraps tomorrow that will bring approx the same.

Well I guess it depends on how broad your contender category is. With 21 games to go, most outside observers would consider us a bubble team that had a good start to the season.

Well if we’re gonna be dealing pld and possible 55 and 37. I’m pretty sure that’s gonna bring in a multitude of pics. PLD alone will bring a few. if Chevy does nothing in this team fails to make the playoffs we can only imagine the Negative aspects from players and did the fan base.

Yeah, I wasn't being hyperbolic with nothing, I mean if they actually do nothing I can't see them being happy. I think they'd be fine with a JVR add with Niederreiter and hoping Perfetti comes back.
If they're being too cautious I can see the players thinking TNSE doesn't believe in them and/or is too cautious to win and want to move on. When players get to their 30s they can see the end of their career and I'd think they'd like to try to win.
