I would doubt a roster player would be going anywhere. A roster player who has been a playing part of one Cup, and it would've been both had he not got hurt the first time. That's not the Lombardi way.
 
Just because I'd like to watch the world burn, I want to see Brown hand the Cup to Weise, who hands the Cup to Lucic, who hands the Cup to Burrows.
 
Never underestimate the effect a change of scenery can have. We were told Vinny couldn't even skate and look how well he's played in his role. All I heard was a constant barrage of crap surrounding Vinny.

I believe if the Kings acquired Purcell (which at this point I don't even believe), he would succeed in the role Sutter gave him.

I hate it when I have to be the positive one.

What is everyone's thoughts on Boyes? Cap hit of $700K, UFA after this year and I am guessing Toronto wouldn't ask for much.
 
Boyes on our 3rd line, I'm all for if the cost is just a mid-round pick.

But that doesnt really address the true needs of our team
 
With the Kings unwilling to part with prospect Adrian Kempe in a potential deal for the newest Chicago Blackhawks left wing Andrew Ladd, one team manager feels it that was the correct move and offers another prospective deal.

"Rentals, particularly wingers, don't work out. I think the trade they should make is Tanner Pearson and Kempe to Winnipeg for Jacob Trouba."

With the Kings still on the hunt for a defenseman and the Montreal Canadiens' management brass in town for Thursday night's game against the Edmonton Oilers, an NHL exec offered these comments on the possibility of an Andrei Markov deal to LA:

"Depends on (the Kings') cap situation and the cost. He's no longer what he once was, but Markov can still help a contender. They definitely need a defenseman and should get (Jets defenseman) Toby Enstrom because he's signed and available, but he may not be physical enough for (Kings GM) Dean Lombardi."

And finally, a source with a different take on the Kings through February 29:

"Kris Russell could be an LA guy. He's not a good defenseman, but others I've spoken to think he's a top-four D and it will probably cost them their second-round pick. The Kings have traded a lot of their picks and I think they may be gun shy after the Andrej Sekera deal last season."

it's not the biggest need but would provide some injury insurance.

I just asked leaf fans one fan said a 3rd, another said the cost owuld be a 5-7th.

If the cost was a 6th I would be all for it.

I'd do Boyes for a 4th, or, better yet, Boyes for Nolan+7th

I think Boyes could do well with Vinny as his center. It certainly is better than the wingers Vinny has with him now.

I wish I had Lombardi's cell phone to call him and suggest this :)

He must work at the Hilton Garden is, because I believe that is where the temporarily house players who get called up or traded.

I could be wrong though:)
 
Jon Rosen on LAKI just said to expect a Kings trade today and he expects the Kings to make 2 trades before the deadline. Said it's "not anyone you guys (fans) have been salivating over."
 
Forbort for Schultz or Bust!!!

Edit: Strange that teams scouting the Kings (not Reign). Don't think Lombardi would shake up the roster.
