to me he is a warrior and would do anything to stop the puck from getting to quick. he is being played out of position in Calgary as he is not a 3/4. He would be an upgrade on our 5 I think anyway.

I think calgary wants to re-sign him and deal Wideman

who would he play with?

He blocks a lot of shots because he takes a lot of D zone faceoffs and never has the puck. He's a major PKer on the worst PK in the league and one of the worst in the league at actually getting the puck out. If we hadn't acquired Schenn, I'd understand it more; if Mayor wouldn't have reported Greene is trying ot make it back for the playoffs, I'd STILL understand it more...as is, what's the point of getting Russell? Why not play J. Schultz? He doesn't cost assets and is familiar with the system, you know what you're going to get.... I just don't even see where ANY of those guys fit. DOughty Muzzin Martinez Schenn...McNabb Russell? Doughty Russel? LOL. no righties to put with him otherwise, no puck mover to put him with otherwise, and spreading out Doughty/Muzzin/Martinez across all three pairings has shown to be worse than just playing the top 4 nonstop.

The Kings insider will always be the last to break anything. He's a Kings employee and as such gives up some control. I think that is partly why Hammond left the job. He really only gives out info that has been vetted by the team. But in agreeing to do so he gets some access that others don't.

Out of all teams why help the Hawks out? As bad as Ehrhoff has been it would have been nice with some veteran depth for the playoffs. I hope we aren't getting Scuderi back...
