I just want the organization to make a decision on Toews, Crawford, Seabrook, and Keith and move forward. Can we win with their contracts? Whose contract can we move if they are willing?

Be decisive. Re identify the core. Shed some contracts if possible. Drop the dead weight. Develop the youngsters. Sign some FAs. Use the year to reshape the team. SELL.

I understand this but yeah. For me it's just unreadable because there are several posters who rants without any objectivity.

For example compare @ChiHawks10 and @Blackhawkswincup. Both saying the same thing, who post it with more sense and has some objective in his pov?
i look at this as some have a better way in expressing their pov in a clearer way than others. perfect example is a post that someone posted was way better than what i posted just minutes earlier.

now is my my words of wisdom. some posters on this site came on when things are going good. however some posters, like me, been a hawks fans during many lean yrs ...... so the talk back then was the prospects of the team going forward and bitching about the state of the team....... see what many are seeing now has been around for many yrs..... thing is, the team has enjoyed good yrs and posters like me hate the screw up of letting these yrs go.....

What's a Time Sink? Is that kinda like a Hot Tub Time Machine by chance?

It's a machine that takes you to an alternate reality where points against Columbus don't count, Keith's secondary assists don't count when he's up for the Norris and Kruger is simultaneously a defensive demi-god without peer and an overpaid fourth liner replaceable by thirty guys in the minors.

This exactly. Cant put it any better.
At a certain point any internet exchange about a contentious issue becomes toxic because people don't argue in good faith and can't concede anything. Everyone's trying to "win" and preserve their view of the matter.

Not everyone. I've had plenty of discussions that have ended with agree to disagree. It's certainly not easy to get to that point if you're not a regular though.

no matter the site, and i am talking about the 2 sites i have visited and am visiting. it is great talking chi sports, b/c everyone is passionate about their pov. i can agree and like that passion. what is also pretty kool, is that many have that insight that not everyone will agree and will honor the right to have a different opinion.

that is what make talking chi sports. i also love the insight that other posters provide which make the down time bearable.

Those decisions are obviously made. What are you even talking about?

Id try and offload Anisimov. Doesn't really seem to have a roll anymore. And we don't really need a 5 million dollar 3rd line center. And with Sikura coming, hopefully he can replace him on the third line.
