I'm obviously trading Grzelcyk for a 2nd if you can get one, but I also don't mind holding onto him for the rest of the year if offers are worse. They really have no LD depth and could use someone who at least can eat minutes.

Does it kinda stink to not sell high on Rakell? Sure, but they traded Pettersson, O'Connor, Bunting and Beauvillier for Novak, Fernstrom, a likely mid 1st and 2 2nds. That's a hell of a job for a selling team.

Yeah I think simply making some room for younger players should be a goal here, as well as stockpiling picks. Broz, Koivunen, etc. need at least a shot at earning a call-up.

The biggest value in a TDL trade and off-season trade is the entertainment value for us. There's a lot of validity in the "he might be worth move under the new cap".

I'm a partial Leafs fan via marriage, and I've always felt a bit of sympathy for them - their team abuses them emotionally and I feel like other fans love to shit on them - but man, their behaviour post Dubas is f***ing appalling. Not only do they need to move on, but the f***ing things they're mad at him for (the core management etc...) are things that were clearly ABOVE HIS PAY GRADE since they've continued after he left.

If they move one more guy, it's a B+. If they move both Grzelcyk and Acciari, it's an A- deadline. If they move Rakell as well, it's an A++++ deadline.
