I mean it just depends on more than trades. I mean if you adds a lot of picks and then sign marner if the offseason while adding young players. Things can change fast.

Not sure I see 2 top-9 spots there with trading for both Kuzmenko and Rakell.

Id imagine Rakell would be brought in to be an upgrade on Moore or Turcotte. One of those guys would be coming back in the trade as well
 
If Dallas is out on rantanen I could see them looking at rakell. He'd be almost one third the cap hit but could still be a top six winger for them allowing them to build up the rest of the roster through trade/free agency.

(Nevermind, the jets or Carolina it is I guess)
 
Rantanen finally got it through his head that if three separate contending teams don't want to give you $13M you're not getting $13M from a contender. :laugh:

Alright, now one of you dipshit GMs pay a haul for Rakell.

If that deal goes through I wonder if that opens up Carolina as a spot for Rakell. Probably depends on the return they get for Rantanen. But I’m sure they would like to acquire a winger with some term to not have to go through this type of saga again.

They have the ponies to do it, just not the balls or jockey.

They are guildings, not studs. Which is why they can't get over the hump.
