f***...Rakell needs to be going to Utah or something then...idk this is setting up to be keeping Raks. WHERE ARE YOU CAPP???
 
Moving on from LA (assuming they are out on Rakell), I think Winnipeg makes the most sense.

They can send us Iafallo, a 1st, Yager, Lambert...some combo like that. They get Rakell for an extra 3 years as well which considering the difficulty of getting players to go there, might be of value.

Hold on, Kuz has 50% retention, it could still happen tbh. I mean if we're worried about roster players, they could add Kuz to our trade

I don't think they really have 2 top-9 spots available, though. They have the assets but I'm not sure about the need.

Their lineup last game was:

Turcotte-Kopitar-Kempe
Foegele-Danault-Moore
Fiala-Byfield-Laferriere

Not sure I see 2 top-9 spots there with trading for both Kuzmenko and Rakell.
 
Kuznenko is a depth player and Philly retained. They still need an actual good forward, doesn’t have anything to do with Rakell

They can send us Moore, as per the package proposals that have been discussed before. Foegele is having a decent year but Rakell would be a clear upgrade as well.

What is everyone's opinion of this one foot in of a rebuild and one foot out idea of a focus on wanting NHL ready prospects in trades that Dubas has spoken of?

Are the Pens really deluding themselves into thinking that this core still has a potential cup run in it? Or are they trying to gaslight people into continue to buy tickets?
