Trade Deadline Thread (March 3)

Teams are trading 2026 picks at this point. Players likely to never make the league that won’t do so in the 2020s if they ever do.

i really need someone in the media to push back hard on mortgaging the future comments.

they just drafted 22 people in two years. They have 9 picks this year. This years drafted players won’t be seen until 2025 at the earliest.

i ask again…what is the plan?

Reactions: SECRET SQUIRREL
They’re not World-beaters but they’re a meaningful improvement over the Clagues and Stillmans
While true, I think many are forgetting that the players have a say where the go too. If two teams have similar deals for the same player but one is a cup contender and the other is fighting for the playoffs, they will most likely take the cup contenders deal. Similar to what the Sabres did for Byork.

Adams’ resolve crumbles as he goes back on his plan and mortgages the future for Jordan Greenway

Depends on the player from my what I've seen. Usually guys that have stuck around, and been good soldiers for the organization, they get a favorable treatment of where they go. Journeymen without loyalty get sent where the better fit/assets work for the team trading them.
