EPIC TRADES CONTINUE:
Absolutelyi forgot the entire reason i responded, I would probably overpay today to have lawson crouse right now
solid player at 4.5 through 26/27, ya that would look good on the cap and on the roster i beleieve
They got 2 cups already. Honestly I would be doing the same thingTalk about being all in.......
post of the yearThink this shows Buffalo should start drafting more Tanner Jeanot's because trading for them are much more expensive.
They will just restack the cupboards when they fall off with Cirelli and Point trades.
Not for that price! Merlin’s Beard!EF is confirming that return. Anyone still want us to buy Jeannot?
Agree. Maybe we just sell a couple of players instead of buying. I’m sure we can get someone to vastly overpay for Olofsson. Especially if they don’t notice that approximately 112% of his goals this season were empty netters.Came here to say throw Oloffson and Bryson out there and see what you can drum up
Remember when we picked up brad boyes at like two in the morning or whatever
That’d be cool to see again
I guess Tampa in all their infinite wisdom disagrees. That's way too much, I really like Jeannot too but his 22 goal year is likely an anomaly and he's more likely a 15 goal guy. I'd like to see what Granato could do with him for sure. I'd rather package some of our 2nds.
Yeah, the East turned into an arms race. Someone has to beat Boston and/or Carolina and GMs are panicking.I mean, if these are the going rates for players this trade deadline, then I'm fully supportive of GMKA not getting involved.
These trades are BONKERS !

No idea what Sharks would've wanted from us but both high picks have conditions and the prospects involved aren't anything special. Looks like Meier got traded for a lot of spare parts.Meier just went for FIVE solid pieces. Tanner Jeannot just went for a 3rd pairing Dman PLUS a 1st PLUS a 2nd PLUS 3 more picks.
You're complaining that we're not in on these prices?
Take it backYes, NJD kept their top prospects. Thing is, we wouldn't have been able to. While we have a very good prospect system........it's entirely top heavy. There's Savoie, Kulich, Ostlund, Rosen, Levi.............then Johnson.........then it falls off of an absolute cliff. We don't have any of these "middle" pieces that NJD just traded. We don't have the defensemen in our system that NJD just traded away. I don't think we were ever in on Meier for that reason.
So we would have had to pony up our 2023 1st, a conditional 2024 1st/2nd.....and then probably two of Savoie/Kulich/Ostlund/Rosen on top just to beat NJD's offer. No way I do that.
I don't mind moving a big package of picks / prospects like some here who want to hoard them all. But I think I'd rather just do it in the off-season and not have the deadline force you to panic and bid against other desperate teams. Use the 2nds we have for some deadline additions.
