Tdl isn’t over, but i find it hard to believe this management group is happy with the defense as it sits. I understand being loyal with the group that got you here but they need a major improvement back there.

Prospects are pretty mediocre on the whole and the firsts are going to both be in the late 20s. Not super impressed
Teams never give up “premium” prospects.

They'll probably get out of Markstrom here too.

I think it'll be interesting to see what they do with Coleman, Kadri, Weegar, Mangiapane, and Anderson this summer.

No chance anyone's getting involved in the Huberdeau nonsense

Simple rule change : any player who is on LTIR at the trade deadline and remains there for the rest of the season isn’t eligible to play until round 2 of the playoffs.

He signed a 7-year contract 9 months ago. He’s one of the safest GMs in the NHL.
Thanks, whenever I read something annoying you respond before I can find time to articulate myself lol

What's even crazier is if Vegas trades their pick it conveys the year after LOL!

They really vent Calgary backward.

Vegas literally said "you can have our 1st, but if we want to trade that 1st we'll give it to you a year later"

Talk about being bent over backwards.

Teams around us are stacking up big time. The West is a powerhouse and we need to put all our chips in if we are looking to compete. Edmonton and Vegas along with Colorado look to be scary with their adds today.

Yes this is one of those situations where it looks like a lot now but check back in 5+ years and it likely won't look like much. A win for Calgary from that would be if they get one good player out of the lot and maybe some depth.

I’d be okay with giving up Silovs in a package for a legit top 6 winger. I think he got a bit overhyped here due to a hot streak that extended to the WC’s.

But what options are out there? They traded prime assets for Lindholm when Tanev/Hanifin were still available. Rumours are they are interested in Guentzel. Haven’t heard any Dmen tied to this team after Z and Tanev?

I’m not sure how Drance can have such obtuse take on Vegas’ clear cap circumvention shenanigans (Stone being activated for game one two years in row. Who would bet any money he’s not back game one this year? Any takers).

I guess I’m jealous that Vegas took Conroy to the cleaners to an extent greater than JR and Allvin.

Why are people making such a big deal about this, Calgary is still getting a first rounder?
I mean in that case, why not a 2028 1st? Or 2029 1st? Tell you what, how about just an IOU, we’re good for it!

Conroy had one of the premier trade pieces for this deadline and he basically let Vegas decide the terms. It’s hilarious.
