I like Grabner. Wonder what it would take for him? Is he still under contract after this year?
Kings could use his speed on the wing.

Still like McGinn as a fit.

Be happy with Hartnell honestly.

Hamhuis is the only decent dman out there.

Florida is looking to move Pirri according to some reports out there. Don't know if it's a fit or the cost but it's another name in the board.

I still like Matt Hunwick as a possible acquisition on the backend.

i don't see how he could work in LA if he got broken down by coach q and waived due to not taking the body enough in chicago. he would be in for a world of hell with sutter.

Pirri is listed as a center but I'm pretty sure he plays a bit of wing too. He could be a solid player for the 2nd/3rd lines and some PP time as well. He's about .5PPG but his shooting percentage this year is slightly under 10%, and he's generally shot around 15%

All roads leading back to Hamhuis/Vrbata...

Don't see it. Hamhuis wants to go back to Vancouver if he gets traded. After the Sekera fiasco from last year, do you really see Dean giving away assets which we don't have much of for a guy who will right away bolt back to Vancouver? Not me.

If anything, I see Dean giving up more for a longer signed player like Trouba. Unless of course the cost of Hamhuis is ~4th round pick (do not see that happening).

According to LeBrun, the asking price for Jamie McGinn is a second round pick....yeesh.

I don't get why the Kings would be interested in him. Don't they have the exact same player, with less experience, in Mersch sitting in the press box?

Yeah I see Lombardi trading for a pure rental. Cap next year is going to be tight... it will be difficult to come up with the money to sign anyone brought on. Pure rentals would also be cheaper asset wise to acquire.

Trouba would require roster players going back. Disrupting defensive chemistry by making major changes with 20 games to go seems like a stretch. Also picking up a guy needing a big contract next year almost requires Brown going the other way. Then factor in Gaborik being questionable for the playoffs and the Kings can't afford to part with scoring from up front right now.

100% I do.

I can see 1st+Forbort+4th for Hamhuis/Vrbata. And I'd do that in a heartbeat. Maybe we add Clifford and change Forbort to a slightly lower prospect or no additional pick

Fair enough. I personally see DL just staying with the dumpster players this year due to inflated prices and our low prospect cupboard. Monday will be interesting!
